The hard part about the ending is that Kendall could have made it if he'd been at his best.
He didn't sell the plan to the board, nor did he say why it was better than the buyout. Just a few minutes, covering the major bullet points in the thick packet, would show that he understood and was ready to execute.
So, in episode 10 of season 4 of #Succession, when they're trying to decide who would be CEO, Roman says, "Dad said when I was with him late one night that it should be me."
I rewatched that scene from s4e2. Logan doesn't say anything of the sort. He says, "I need you with me." I don't think that even implies that Roman would succeed him.
Wow, that episode was difficult. So many themes, including the breakdown of norms and the influence of media, and billionaires, in the political process.
The hardest part for me was Siobhan's poor performance. She had aligned her personal advantage with the Jimenez campaign, and once that was revealed, she lost her voice. Her threats to Greg, and unwillingness to propose a deal to Nate, led to failure.
