I rewatched that scene from s4e2. Logan doesn't say anything of the sort. He says, "I need you with me." I don't think that even implies that Roman would succeed him.

The privileged asshats who gamble with billions would be equally content convincing a family to overpay $1500 for a minivan. When you're negotiating, understand that you're bargaining over hits of dopamine, not money.
