#tech friends, I'm looking for #digitalstorage advice. Partly to #degoogle. Partly because my NAS is old.

I'm looking to store normal stuff (images, etc.), but also some fairly substantial raw #wav files, #virtualinstruments and private files from my music business.

I'm currently using g drive for pics, day-to-day files, and using a dual-drive #NAS for #musicproduction backup.

Was thinking of everything in the cloud (cheaper up front), but will prob buy similar solutions from two different companies for redundancy.

Was also thinking just spinning up a #vps but needs to be easy for my non-techie wife to access her photos.

Thoughts?

I’m looking for an open-source tool to write loop points into #WAV files, for #looping a section of the audio contained in the file.

By now I know that these are stored as #RIFF smpl chunks (see https://www.recordingblogs.com/wiki/sample-chunk-of-a-wave-file for the binary structure), and I could generate the binary data myself, but I need a tool to write the chunk into an existing file. #CLI preferred, or a #Python library.

#Exiftool & the #libsndfile tools can’t.

#music HELP! I am trying to burn 8 of my original tunes as #WAV to a #CD. The Windows Media Player only burns one of the songs and then pops the CD out saying it is done. I have wasted THREE cds trying to burn the @#!@&*

You do NOT have to make a #YouTube video, like in Twitter. You can post a #WAV or similar file right inside your toot. Insert it in as you would a photo, but search for the sound file on your device.

"Audio files can be any length, as long as the file size is under 40 MBs. The supported formats are MP3, OGG, WAV, FLAC, OPUS, AAC, M4A and 3GP." - @feditips
