I caved and ordered new #headphones again. Not thrilled about it. I kind of hate buying new stuff but wearing #AudioTechnica #ATHM50x every day is excruciating on the ears. I can't handle it anymore.

@neatchee I've always kind of wondered about iem. Have a handful of pals (mostly musicians) who swear by them. I've just never ventured down that road. Maybe one day.

These new phones will actually be my first pair of anc. Never tried before and frankly I'm a bit distrustful, but I'm willing to give it a try.

@neatchee I hear you. Boy and the Heron had that Miyazaki feel and esthetic, but lacked the story of something like Howl, which I think is a better film.

Suzume lacked none of that: good story, characters (a chair?? ), animation, music. Yeah. It's a win in my heart!

Def going to watch again in English so my wife will watch too.

@neatchee So, I did get a chance to rewatch in English. All voices were good except Suzume, herself. I'm not sure if she just sounded too old for the character but there was some quality I didn't care for. My wife even brought it up before I did.

That said, just a criticism. It's not like it ruined the show. Just a bit distracting at times.

I pride myself on running most of my own tech tools, but @fastmail is just too good to substitute for my business use. Have used since 2019 for email, calendar, and keeping contacts up-to-date.

It's simple, they don't send me ads and promos, and they have good spam filters.

Just thought I'd share that. Have a lovely rest of the day.

@tanoshimi @protonprivacy 's suite looks good for sure. I've used their VPN and technically have a free account. There may come a day when that replaces my old gmail account at the very least. :)

Fellow folks, is actually good? What benefit do you get out of it?

Genuinely asking. I've lurked from time to time, but have never really given it a real shot.

I have a spreadsheet just to keep track of what I'm watching, what I want to watch, etc. Might just clean it up and post on my . I dunno. Kinda reluctant to sign up for yet another thing unless it's pretty dope.

Thoughts?
