-THE DAY OF THE DOOR by Laurel Hightower, who is imo one of the best writers of fantastic #indie#horror nowadays. This is her newest, published by Ghoulish Books, with a cover by Trevor Henderson. (Extra pic of all the swag they include.)
-An ARC of Cynthia Gomez's THE NIGHTMARE BOX, published by Cursed Morsels. I've loved the couple of stories of hers I've read & look forward to discovering some new favorites in this collection.
-SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES by Ray Bradbury because I've wanted it ever since they released it and I actually don't own this book in any other form- which is INSANE to me, considering it's one of my all-time favorites
-The "new" WEIRD TALES antho. It's mostly stories I already own but I couldn't pass up the chance to have them all in such a cool looking volume
edited by Jacob Stephen Mohr, from
Crystal Lake Entertainment, with TONS of talent.

📚 #Bookmail Pt 1
-Tenebrous Press remains one of the best #indie presses around w the wonderful assortment of swag they send with every order & this HC edition of POSTHASTE MANOR by Jolie Tomajan & Carson Winter is no exception. It's got cover art by Trevor Henderson, illustrations by Alex Woodroe, & the story sounds fantastic. (I'll review it soon!)
(Btw, the boxes they send their orders in make fabulous containers for art supplies.)
-Reissue of POLYPHEMUS by Michael Shea: a short story collection that includes the story that GDT's Cabinet of Curiosities adapted- and one of my favorites in the series- "The Autopsy." From the always stellar #Valancourt Books.
AND
-JACKAL, JACKAL by Tobi Ogundiran
-NO ONE WILL COME BACK FOR US by Premee Mohammed
Both from the consistently compelling weird fiction publisher @Undertow:
-#McSweeney's #71: THE MONSTROUS AND THE TERRIBLE, guest-edited by Brian Evanson, w stories by:
Mariana Enriquez, Attila Veres, Stephen Graham Jones, Jeffrey Ford, Gabino Iglesias + others. It comes in a series of nesting, interlocking slipcases covered in horrid goodness.
-Also got this FANTASTIC #HauntedMansion print from #Spirit. I adore this ride & I feel like I have a part of it w me now even though I'm far, far away.
Love the first line of Seth Dickinson’s new #sciencefiction book, EXORDIA: “What do you do when you meet an alien in Central Park?” (uncorrected proof).
📗 The stunning deluxe hardcover for BLOOD FROM THE AIR by Gemma Files, preordered from Grimescribe Press and it's beautiful! 😍
Limited to 200- their website says there's only 50 left so if you want one, the link's below
📘 Lovely UK edition of A HAUNTING ON THE HILL by Elizabeth Hand from Sphere
When I hear via Stephen Graham Jones that two of his books are going out of print (for a bit) I snatch them up. 'Cos there are some now OOP that are SUPER hard to find and quite expensive (unless you're persistent & also lucky enough to find them on Thriftbooks then grab them, like I did)
-THE LAST FINAL GIRL and ZOMBIE BAKE-OFF by Stephen Graham Jones (from Lazy Fascist Press & Eraserhead Press)
📚 #Bookmail, Part 1

The Hank Show: A readable #biography by an award-winning journalist about Hank Asher, a man who took on many jobs—from drug runner to CIA asset—but who is best known as the father of data fusion. Out in Oct from St Martin’s Press
#Bookmail from the lovely people at Valancourt who truly do the world a service by reprinting some fabulous & sometimes long OOP books.
These are the two newest #PaperbacksFromHell from Thomas Tessier, FINISHING TOUCHES & RAPTURE and they look fantastic. Should be able to get to them in November (hopefully, haaaa) but for now they look right at home amongst my other #vintage#paperbacks and PFH.
-Excited for this Valancourt reissue of a "modern horror classic," according to their wise curators: Thomas Tessier's THE NIGHTWALKER
-THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG IN MORRINGTON COUNTY from Ryan W. Kinney sounds fantastic: "A QPOC-centered horror short story collection. The 12 stories include flesh-eating pixies, killer thighs, people microdosing zombie blood, and more." YES, PLEASE
