I do not have a rooting interest in either team but there's no way The #Panthers second goal should have been allowed against the #bruins. The #NHL just got it wrong.
... and I also feel the need to memorialize the event here and say that it's REALLY hard to cheer anymore for a goalie who gives up two shorthanded goals in 45 seconds

Intermission panels are almost universally terrible, regardless of sport or network. But this SportsNet panel is the worst of the worst. I think I'd rather watch non-stop Save-On-Foods commercials than these guys. Capital-A awful.
@Diggler67 I’ve got the local #bruins stream on tonight. I’ve seen a few good US broadcast crews but this isn’t one of them. Very draggy coverage and just a little bit one-sided.
I've had a pretty good week of #ComputerGaming. Tuesdays are #Gloomhaven with C and, after 4 hours, we almost finished a 2 room dungeon. Not sure we'll even win! And then last night, 4 Guys Coop did finish Ch 4 of #SeriousSam 4, Gates of Hell, after 2 tries, even with 10 lives. So far it's fun but it's missing the crazy chaos of the wide-open levels of the earlier classics.
Not much planned for #Today. Mostly just work, date night, and the #Bruins. We have a work holiday soirre (yes, that's what they call it!) on Saturday that requires "semi-formal" dress, so I had better try on my suit (singular) to make sure it still fits. One big drawback to working remotely is that I haven't met too many people, so I will know no one there (besides my friend who recommended me). Not an environment I'm very good in. But we'll give it a try.
I took Nemo, the one eyed orange tabby, to the vets yesterday. His eye was looking pretty bad. They did a couple tests and decided it was, in fact, a bacteria and so we got some antibiotic lotion to put in his eye and we're awaiting a call from the pharmacy for an oral antibiotic to give him. Worst of all, though, is he has to wear a cone, which is just the saddest thing to watch.
Spent the other parts of yesterday running around, doing errands. Picked up a book from the local bookstore that came in. Wow, are hardcovers ever expensive! Finished the day with a #beer, a #boardgame, and the #Bruins, which would have been perfect if the Bruins hadn't stunk out the joint, right from puck drop. Swayman played an amazing game and they still lost 5-1. Tonight is another tough game for them against the #Wild.

So we had #COVID go thru our morning pickup #hockey locker room. Looks like it is probably the flu for the #Bruins. Tough times. They'll have to dig deep against the #Devils.
Well, it was against a pretty bad team (they haven't scored more than 1 goal away from home all season), but I'll take a 3-0 #Bruins win over the #Sharks. Solid, workmanlike effort that got the 2 points.
Well, it wasn't a terrible 1st period for the #Bruins, but it still wasn't great against a weak #Sharks team. Not sure why they are all off kilter these days, to be honest.

We caught up on #SNL and #LastWeekTonight while sipping our scorpion bowl. #SNL was okay, with a few funny sketches. Best was the Latino mom and aunt (Pedro Pascal and Bad Bunny) harassing the white girlfriend, the George Washington (Nate Bargatze) Dream, and Fran Drescher at Halloween. John Oliver had an impassioned opening about the Israel / Gaza disaster, was pretty funny about the new GOP speaker, and covered the screwed-up FDA & the horrible McKinsey management firm.
As far as local sports ball teams go, it was a mixed bag. The #Bruins got back on the winning track, after a disastrous loss against the Ducks. The #RedWings are a good team, but the Black & Gold played well and won handily. But the #Patriots reverted to their sucky selves, looking awful after the first five minutes of the game. The refs were ridiculously inconsistent and Mac Jones looked really bad. Oh well.
Besides that, it was a pretty boring Sunday. We did go out and sit by the fire last night, as our usual time there on Saturday nights was replaced by brewpubs. It was the first cool night of the season, so we broke out the heavy coats. But it was a perfect night for a fire. And the #Bruins finished the day off nicely with another convincing win. Hard to believe they are starting the season out even better than last year's record-setting season! #NHL@nhl
