After the release of JSON Canvas, I was curious how people handle whiteboarding and graphical notes in Obsidian. Personally, I only use Excalidraw because I was already a user of its web version and because of its support for md and iframes, although I don't like how it handles embedded notes, everything else is easily corrected...
The latest version of #Excalidraw looks like it is starting to become a true open alternative to #Miro for collaborative sketching and sticky notes sessions.
Plenty cool features, #FOSS, self-hostable, stores stuff locally / syncs encrypted, save & export, etc.
🧐 #OpenBoard#PizarraVirtual 🖥️🎨
Zsolt just released a basic walk-through video for the #Excalidraw plugin in #Obsidian. If it has always been on your "to check out one day" list like me, this is a very good introductory video.
Previously I thought if I need to sketch something I need to pull up OneNote and link to it from Obsidian. Now I can do that all without having to leave Obsidian.
I just discovered some week ago that #Jitsi has an integrated collaborative live #Excalidraw whiteboard! It was announced back at last December. There are just some apps that need to catch up to #JitsiMeet in feature parity. 😎
Do you use Excalidraw, Canvas, both or neither?
