A sympathetic figure in this piece. But he had previously “led election integrity operations for the Republican Party.” So long before Trump weaponized it, he had pushed the same “big lie” about in-person voter fraud that the party has long embraced to justify voter suppression.

@therightarticle The new law is absolutely terrifying in its breadth. You can be stopped, searched and arrested based purely on the unspecified and unspoke concerns of a police officer. They don't have to be able to justify themselves. They can just do it. Any time. Anywhere.

There's always been a faction of the right trying to do this.
Years ago I read an article wherein a lesbian who went to Catholic school talked about a nun pulling her aside, telling her that she was condemned to hell, and there was no redemption for her, but if she had any good in herself, she would commit suicide and so as not to take anyone else with her.
Sounds ludicrous, right?
Except it was being discussed in a political forum, and another woman - also a lesbian - said that basically the same thing happened to her too.
They know what they're doing. It's what they want.
