The advantage of sorting apps on your phones homescreen by colour is that it looks darn pleasing. The disadvantage is that apps move around quite often as app designers love to change the colour of their icons. #FirstWorldProblem
So, obvious #FirstWorldProblem, but I had to take a mandatory online 'security training ' at work and boy. ... 15 minutes of frustration. Everything is an animation that cannot be sped up nor skipped. At the same time the literal text is on screen and read aloud, so you have to wait till the voice and animation are ready before you click on the small round thingy on the arrow ( no the arrow is not clickable, ). Every interaction requires a click and another to confirm.
Them: The driver called at 09:30 & said he could not find your address.
Me: Surprising, since I am sitting at home at this address.
Them: He also said he called you & nobody answered.
Me: Even more surprising, since you called this number & I picked up right away. Also my cell phone has no record of a missed call between 08:00 and 09:30 this morning.
Them: ...
Me: (sigh) OK, could you ask the driver to try again please?
looks like I'll be tethering on and off throughout the day as the pavement/road outside is being dug up yet again.
Some residents have broadband issues but we've had #jurassic_fibre dig it up, then #virgin_fibre and now it looks like #bt are upgrading their service (which is good as I'm using BT at the moment).
In the last few weeks the same bits of pavement/road have been dug up numerous times with an uneven mess left behind.
They have changed the washroom security code at my local coffee shop, and my whole world view has come crashing down. Don’t they know how long it took me to learn the old one!!! #firstworldproblem
Current #FirstWorldProblem : Had a lunch big enough that I don't need dinner tonight, but since I'm remote tomorrow, I should still pick food on the way home... something good, but not SO good that I'll be tempted to eat it tonight. Wish me luck.
Why do I dislike going to the grocery store so much? The store's only a 5 minute drive away and I'm in and out in, like, 15-20 minutes, but it still feels like the biggest annoyance. I even go during the day when no one else is there!
@starshaped I personally feel the same way. Thankfully my Wife tends to go more often than I do but it feels like cognitive overload when I do.Perhaps there are just too many choices to make after a long work day 🙄 That said this is definitely a #firstworldproblem
Ma basse me manque. (Elle est chez le luthier et moi j'étais sensé être occupé à faire le touriste en Bretagne.) J'écoute des trucs inaccessibles pour patienter... https://youtu.be/Hsum9ortSFc?si=CLbeqfsX3aFTqRs9
I must say that I would feel far worse regarding the prospect of fake news generated by #AI if the idea of good journalism hadn't died 30 years ago.
Only 20% of Swedes trust journalists at all, and that's without having to deal with Fox News etc.
Clickbait for Profit has been the norm for 30 years.
That's not to say there aren't good journalists, but the idea of heroic mainstream journalist fighting the establishment with the support of their newspaper to dig out the truth died decades ago.
Argh, keep losing my posts by pulling the image down to check I’ve included everything in the image description and over doing it and refreshing the page… argh
There may be a photo of a quince flower incoming, but probably not if that happens again :/ #FirstWorldProblem
