The family of #BrianSicknick, the #PoliceOfficer who died during the #Jan6 attack, blasted Trump’s appearance at a wake Thurs for slain #NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller.
Charles & Kenneth Sicknick on Fri expressed condolences to Diller’s family, but said #Trump’s appearance, especially the #PressConference outside a funeral home, was nothing but an #inappropriate#PoliticalStunt.
“Every time I see that an #officer has been killed in the line of duty, it really does affect me & I feel for that family.” Kenneth #Sicknick said.
“The fact is [#Trump] states he’s law & order but he sent a mob that ultimately ended up killing my brother. He has such a lack of self-awareness of what he does. He’s using that officer’s death as a campaign platform.”
Julian Khater, 32, of State College, PA, & George Tanios, 39, of Morgantown, WV were charged w/ #assault & #conspiracy to injure an #officer in connection w/his death.
Khater was sentenced to 6 yrs in prison in Jan 2023, while Tanios was sentenced to time served awaiting trial — ~5 months.
@GottaLaff This morning both #JudgeMcAfee and the #probation#officer in the courtroom seemed to have been caught off guard by #Chesebro and his attorney's declaration that Chesebro plans to spend his time & probation in Puerto Rico. The probation officer couldn't answer the Judge's questions regarding the logistics. Is this a non-issue? I haven't been able to find any information.
Another bullshit story by #police claiming that an #officer suffered immediate, debilitating effects after being exposed to #fentanyl. They've been spreading these stories for about two years now, and not a single one of them is true. You cannot overdose from fentanyl through casual contact. This is a medical fact. Yet facts don't stop police from continuing to spread dangerous disinformation, even when objectively disproven. I don't understand why they keep doing this.
