The terrible human toll in Gaza has many causes.
A chilling investigation by +972 highlights efficiency:
An engineer: “When a 3-year-old girl is killed in a home in Gaza, it’s because someone in the army decided it wasn’t a big deal for her to be killed.”
An AI outputs "100 targets a day". Like a factory with murder delivery:
"According to the investigation, another reason for the large number of targets, and the extensive harm to civilian life in Gaza, is the widespread use of a system called “Habsora” (“The Gospel”), which is largely built on artificial intelligence and can “generate” targets almost automatically at a rate that far exceeds what was previously possible. This AI system, as described by a former intelligence officer, essentially facilitates a “mass assassination factory.”"
"The third is “power targets,” which includes high-rises and residential towers in the heart of cities, and public buildings such as universities, banks, and government offices."
"The unit is engaged in the same kind of AI work that the world’s biggest tech companies, like Google, Facebook and China’s Baidu are doing in a race to apply machine learning to such functions as self-driving cars, analysis of salespeople’s telephone pitches and cybersecurity — or to fight Israel’s next war more intelligently."
“I’ve always loved algorithms. I was already involved with them in high school and worked in the field. When I [was] drafted I wanted to combine the technology with a combat,” Maj. Sefi Cohen, 34, recalls.
The unit’s only female member left recently. so for the moment it’s an all-male team. Cohen says: “Everyone who’s here is the tops.”
#startupnation 👏 this article, written by #Ynet's Tech reporter, "exposes" the vicious, poisonous anti-Israel hate-machine operated by China, Russia, North-Korea, neo-Nazis, antisemites, Palestinians and... yes, the #BDS.
"This is a difficult problem for Israeli public diplomacy in the world. While the Palestinian and anti-Israeli narrative is slowly becoming entrenched in world public opinion, portraying Israel as a child-murdering monster, the Israeli narrative is perceived in some respects as the cry of the robbed Cossack. Moreover, the claims of #Hamas or elements supporting the Palestinian side are framed equally in the traditional media abroad. That is, Hamas is defined as just another side in the conflict, parallel to the State of Israel. The result is that many messages intended for the consciousness struggle, psychological warfare and harnessing world public opinion to the Palestinians' struggle against "colonialist and evil Israel" also resonate among populations not involved in the Israeli-Arab conflict and its history."
Background: Ynet has been feeding its readers a daily dose of self-pity. Anyone who dares not to express their alliance to Israel is a target (celebs especially, currently "radical-left" and famous jew-hater Susan Sarandon).
Whichever is their editorial line, if any, it seems to be not too picky about what and whom they publish. They recently aired an interview with an actual neo-Nazi/White-supremacist, and their "readers" (very likely an organized Right-wing disinformation operation who's very active on Ynet and other sites) were smitten with the famous lover of Zion.
#StartupNation 🙄 note to self: check how much the contractor was payed to produce this amazing graphic (wouldn’t be surprised if it’s interactive) of the anything-but-safe #Nakba 1.5 corridors
Israel is indulging in war crimes, and the USA and the EU can stop it.
#StartupNation
