Ich werde das Teil auf dem Motorrad über der Lederjacke tragen und mag die Vorstellung, dass es für die meisten Verkehrsteilnehmer eher als „Durchfahrt verboten“-Schild gelesen und aufs Motorradfahren bezogen werden dürfte 😄

Auch Carnivore, die Vorgängerband von Type O Negative, waren auf ihre Weise großartig - und wer die alten Fallout-Sachen nicht kennt, Pete’s erste Band, unbedingt mal reinhören: Vieles von dem, was Type O später zu Giganten des Gothic Doom machen sollte, war auch damals schon im Sound angelegt, als Pete gerade mal um die 19 war. Rest in Peace.

On the long flight I finally managed to listen to at least half of the Requiem Metal Podcast about Type O Negative -> highly recommended by the way.
Type O will forever be my favourite band ... unfortunately I only got to see them live once, back then on the World Coming Down Tour. After Pete's death, I was glad that it was at least this one time. 💚#typeonegative

One little "tradition" I have when Autumn properly kicks in is to listen all the way through this 1996 gem. I won’t call out a single song that's "best” on the album as they form a whole in a similar vein to The Cure's “Disintegration" or Nine Inch Nails' "The Fragile”.
The four corners of this album seem to be "Love You To Death", “Die With Me", “In Praise of Bacchus”, and the towering finale "Haunted”.

I'm reading that the track 'Bloody Kisses (A Death In The Family)', also the title track of the 1993 album by Gothic Metal band 'Type O Negative', was about the death of the 17 year old family cat named Venus.
