Today Jess Phillips has written to the Prime Minister about the conduct of one of his members of parliament, ex-PM Liz Truss.

It's a serious matter. Let's hope Rishi! takes it seriously.

I don't intend to post every bit of Labour election material or for all candidates here, but this is Irene Campbell, my own Labour candidate in North Ayrshire.

Irene is an excellent candidate and will make an very good MP IMO.

In a sense of fairness and equity, I also post a photo of her main rival, Patricia Gibson MP of the SNP.

The Tories have introduced voter id to UK elections on the flimsiest evidence and with limited docs allowed for id.

The Veterans Minister asked for the new Veterans Cards to be allowed as voter id, but the Gov refused.

This leaked doc from the minister shows clearly the reason: the Tories are trying to stop young people from voting because the evidence is that young people tend not to vote Tory in great numbers.

Rishi Sunak's wealth increased by £120m this year. Now officially richer than King Charles.

Keir Starmer has issued his sic pledges to the country.

The approach - if not the actual list of promises - is similar to Tony Blair's tactics, with his "Pledge Card" pre-1997 election which brought a Labour landslide.

There were two polls today.

A Survation UK-wide Poll and YouGov had a Scotland only poll.

I've combined the findings to get UK and Scotland only seat prediction. I used the Political Calculus app.

Large Labour majority UK and Labour biggest party in Scotland.

@BenZaranko, an economist at the IFS, exposes the sleight-of-hand behind Sunak's claim to have found £75bn extra for defence spending.

To get the £75bn number, the government has assumed a baseline with spending frozen in cash terms and then added up all of the differences. If you instead assume a baseline of spending frozen as a % GDP, it's an extra £20 billion over 6 years.

Even with national security, you can't trust the Tories.

But if you're wrong it's because you live in England.

Labour projected to win 400+ seats.

And in Scotland Labour set to win 28 seats and relegate the SNP to a poor second.

Resolution Foundation study suggests lowest earners are £6,000 a year better off due to policy.

Worth a reminder that the Conservatives opposed the NMW.

After Rachel Reeves' Mair speech there was a lot of press talk about how she quoted Thatcher and wasn't radical enough.

Will Hutton, economist and economic commentator, brings a bit of balance by reporting on what Reeves actually said and promised - and didn't promise.

Needless to say, it's no pean to Thatcher ....

@wethinkpolling , 21-22 Mar.
Changes w/ 14-15 Mar.

CON: 24% (-1)
RFM: 11% (-1)
LDM: 9% (=)
GRN: 6% (=)
SNP: 2% (=)

Seats prediction attached.

NB because of a quirk in the app, SNP gets 3.2% in the table, but only got 2% in the actual poll, which puts them on fewer than the 18 seats shown.

President Biden: “My predecessor, a former Republican president, tells Putin 'Do whatever the hell you want.' That’s a quote, a former president actually said that, bowing down to a Russian leader. I think it’s outrageous.”

I presume those not clapping are Republicans, effectively endorsing Putin's right to invade NATO countries.

I'm thinking "The world's gone mad".
