That said, we should be EXTREMELY critical (dare I say suspicious, even) of anyone who'd trivialize voting in a constitutional republic, especially in one where people died for the right to do so within living memory. Yesterday the #NewOrcTimes claimed that 100s of #Ukraine'ian soldiers were captured by #Russia in a retreat from #Avdiivka so chaotic & poorly executed that even #Kremlin#propaganda couldn't keep up (so far behind, RU Mil blogger Murz decided to kill himself!)

#Russia is using #POWs captured in #Ukraine to try to pressure their families to #protest against the #Government in #Kyiv, rather than exchanging them for their own POWs in Ukraine.
This cruel tactic serves 3 goals for the #Kremlin:
-Torments the POWs in their custody
-Destabilizes the Ukrainian gov't by creating mistrust
-Keeps their own soldiers held by Ukraine from returning to Russian society where they are seen as a liability by the authorities.
Good video from @anderspuck about #genocide both in the context of #Russia's invasion of #Ukraine and #Israel's invasion of #Gaza. Lots of dead civilians doesn't always mean genocide, while genocide can be committed without killing anyone.

Given the excellent video @anderspuck put out yesterday about the stakes for #Europe and the #US to defeat #Russia in #Ukraine, I wonder if he'd be so kind as to comment on this article by Mark Galeotti, who seems to have a slightly different outlook about both #Putin's ambitions & military potential.
I blocked both of these self-described #OSINT accounts on the platform formerly known as #twitter months before #SpaceKaren was promoting them as "good sources" for information regarding #Israel, #HAMAS, #Ukraine, & #Russia.
I sure as hell hope the rumors of #ATACMS finally being delivered to #Ukraine & used against #Russia'n occupiers is true.
