Ugh. Pocket Git, another long time favorite Android app of mine, has disappeared from the Play Store—without an obvious replacement.

I don’t want to start developing Android apps, but dang, I could really use replacements for these:

• Straightforward git client (explicitly not an IDE)
• Package tracker that supports multiple carriers

I’ll design them if someone else can develop them? 😝

@cassidy There seems to be many package tracking apps for Android. One that I just looked up had a 4.5 rating.

Hello from Ungoogled Chromium. Decided to give it a run for a bit. So far, feels snappier than Firefox, but also don't have any extensions except Bitwarden and uBlock Origin.

@arch Have you tried Google Chrome's "saved groups"? I am curious if Chromium has it.

I wrote a script that tries to figure out the top 20 toots on the once per hour and saves each post to a NoSQL database if it isn't there already. I'm going to try to figure out a way of visualizing them at some point. For now, this is enough.

scrcpy just keeps getting better and better. Version 2.2 was just released with support for camera mirroring. This lets you mirror the device camera instead of the device screen.

I tried it out, and it worked pretty well at 1080p even when connected wirelessly.

The feature in #Mastodon 4.2 I was waiting for the most is #ExclusiveLists.

@mike Maybe he's not a vast majority kind of person. Maybe he doesn't need a viable long-term career. Not everyone needs to follow the same path.

Not sure your son's age but in the younger years I do think exposure is really important. Sometimes we have more than one passion, we just need to discover it.

@omgubuntu To comment on what was mentioned in the article itself, this doesn't appear to be anything related to Ubuntu Rolling Rhino that Martin originally worked on.

That was actually a rolling release version of Ubuntu. This is an Ubuntu-based distro that uses a rolling release model.
