@cliffwade I never got into survival games but have found Palworld a lot of fun. It's not as harsh and grindy (early on) as other games. The pal's prevent it from getting boring at the beginning and the tutorial is great.

I don't feel like you need to like Pokemon much, although I bet it helps.

The game gets out of the way mostly & lets you enjoy things. For example there's a lot less annoying inventory management than in other games.

I wasn't sure it was for me but ended up really liking it.
