I walked out to the garden centre and hung washing out before I left, in full expectation of no pissing down.

I feel safer and less out of control after a visit from my friends. My bestie stroked my hair until I felt better and understood my state of mind. I am now in the bath with a conditioning mask on my hair as it was so tangled she couldn’t run her hands through it 😔

@RickiTarr Of those, on demand tv has definitely been the biggest change for me. I don't tend to watch tv live very often, so being able to watch everything at a time of my choosing is very helpful.

Streaming music is also helpful, but given that I also still buy music it's not quite as big a change, I suppose.

I still read paper books and watch dvds, though, so the others aren't such a big deal.

Good morning. I slept fitfully, mind racing about things that are worrying me, mind active but my eyes too tired to read or tweet. The sun is shining and the sky is blue but I have a sense of doom, that something terrible might happen to me, WHY?? There’s no sense to it. I’m tired 😪

I very nearly cancelled my manicure because I felt so awful, but I couldn’t do that to my nail tech and her small business, so I dragged myself there. I decided to be truthful when she asked how I was and we had a good chat, she said she gets v low at times so she understands and that we could maybe go for coffee sometime 💜

Someone asked whether I ever played Doom. No, not really. I told that I've never liked first person shooters and then it hit me. I never liked them as there's too much going on. In fact, I've never been a big fan of any types of shooters, the only exception being Cannon Fodder. Now, with the new-found autistic perspective, it makes perfect sense. Sensory overdrive all the time equals no fun. How about my fellow autistics, any fans of shooters?

OK so wasn’t a CPN, she’s a social worker, but she’s going to support me jointly with a CPN who will come next week for at least the next few weeks. She’s v happy that I’ve taken 2 months off to try and get better. Told her I was scared of everything spiralling out of control, …ODing, running away, police being called, etc. very last thing I want is to end up in hospital god knows where and be on daily med pickups for the rest of the year. Must remember that to counter the planning.

Good news is there is sick pay for up to 12 weeks after all! I just need the SW to ask one of the doctors for medical evidence justifying my absence. She’s also going to ask about PRN sleep meds.

@RickiTarr I have never understood why so many NTs refuse to wear sunglasses in winter. They're not heatglasses! And up here at the high latitudes, the winter sun is low and right in your eyeline.

I wear sunglasses pretty much any time when it's not night.
