The GameBoy had some amazing games. ๐Ÿฅฐ
I wasn't quite ready to let this system go, after speeding through Mario Land 2. So I played SML 1 too (first try, no savestates, 35 minutes) and I'm now replaying . I forgot how clever the game is at showing what you can do and how it keeps adding new things all the way until the end. I'm now at the second to last stage and I still haven't reached the "let's get this over with" state. ๐Ÿ˜

For once the Nintendo store's "register your interest" thing worked for me as I've been able to preorder a copy of the Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition Deluxe Set that comes with all those cool extras and a physical version of the game of course.

Had so many instances in the past where I had registered my interest but then never got the follow up email and missed out on their limited editions. It's nice to have it finally work.

Potato quality screenshot, but I beat the Elite Four in Pokรฉmon SoulSilver last night so now I'm on to Kanto for the other gyms.

I ended up switching out Xatu for Lugia as I realised I haven't used a Legendary in literal decades now so why not do it this go round. Don't think I could've beaten Lance without it!

I've never caught a Heracross this early in a playthrough before. I had been headbutting trees all over as I quite liked the idea of using a Forretress this time around, but fate has provided me with a Pokรฉmon that should make Whitney's Miltank a little less difficult later on!

Most of my gaming time recently has been spent shiny hunting in Pokรฉmon Scarlet with my eldest which has been a lot of fun (pics of my shinies to come).

Tonight I went for a change of pace and have been playing Mario VS Donkey Kong on the Switch. It's been so long since I played it on the GBA it's all new to me again. Its slower pace is just what I needed, and not too challenging on the old brain ๐Ÿ˜…

I've been looking forward to Opus Echo of Starsong for a while now, especially with the physical release coming out a lot later than the digital one.

It's finally here but it has the dreaded download required messaging on the front. The back of the box says a 4GB download is required. Hoping it ends up being optional language support but the box doesn't indicate anything.

Text on the back of the box for Opus indicating a download is required for the game. The text states: Game requires download of at least 4GB. MicroSD card recommend (sold separately). Storage requirements may change etc.

Well, I guess that solves the mystery of where my order for Natsuki Chronicles and Ginga Force is...

Two weeks after I got a message stating that my order has been "fulfilled", it still only shows up on the tracking sites as "parcel created".
So I contacted 1st Press Games to ask if they can look into it about an hour ago.

Haven't heard anything back, but the tracking site now states "acceptance" 10 minutes ago.
So I guess they just had it laying around and forgot to post it. :picardfacepalm:

@OutofPrintArchive I've heard lots of bad things about First Press Games recently which makes me worried about Chained Echoes. Several people saying they pre-ordered games a couple of years ago and still haven't received anything. No response from them when asking etc.

@OutofPrintArchive Yeah it was the first for me too. There's a subreddit called limitedprintgames and quite a few posts of people complaining about them sadly.

Despite all that some seem confident they will ship Chained Echoes because it's such a big release.
