Moving over to another server and does anyone know why this is happening? Is it because my old server was on version 4.0.6 and my new one is not?

EDIT: Nvm I was importing the wrong file

SinclairSpeccy, to random

The cool mods and admins of oldbytes.space approved my account! You can find it over at @SinclairSpeccy!

I just need to move everything over to the new account

SinclairSpeccy, (edited )

@metin @SinclairSpeccy Yep, I'm going to do that too!

Edit: How do I do that? My exports are giving me errors "Invalid CSV file. Error: Illegal quoting in line 1." 😅

EDIT: Nvm I was importing the wrong file

fwiw, i will be deploying my knowledge on the emmaverse against threads whenever possible. cause like. they're the only ones who really deserve it

them and poast

SinclairSpeccy,

@RoseZ @mia Man, can threads die already? The existence of threads is dumb yet I see people going “give threads a chance!!!”

SinclairSpeccy, to mastodon

Does anyone know of any up-to-date tech instances that have Threads blocked? Was considering moving to another instance that is more update to date like oldbytes.space if it has Threads blocked :P.

There's a bit of irony in my comment as I use Facebook but that's because my family uses it and they won't let me escape it

Damn, learning very quickly how to fit in into fedi culture! :koakuma_giggle: (reply guy shit, and of course outright bigots who can't just seem to think before clicking the submit button and then cry later about why they're on fediblock)

SinclairSpeccy,

@mima Users try not to cry about fediblock challenge

Due to suggestions I'm gonna put info about old and obscure OSes I find on my website using MkDocs instead of writing for .

I know MkDocs is more geared towards project documentation but I think it will work for the time being, unless anyone has software that could work instead of MkDocs as it has the option to search... which will be much better than users struggling to find the page manually with my shitty GitHub pages site.

Let's see how this goes as time moves on?

(1/2)

SinclairSpeccy,

Now to figure out how to categorise it all...

(2/2)

SinclairSpeccy,

@breadbin I was more of meaning the layout and stuff ^^;

SinclairSpeccy,

@breadbin Well, I’m using MkDocs as of now to make it more organised

In 2004, the EU ruled Microsoft had broken European law by “abusing its monopoly to hurt competing video & audio apps”. They fined Microsoft €500m & required them to offer a Windows edition sans video & audio apps. The 1st such edition - Windows XP Edition N - released in 2005.

SinclairSpeccy,

@windowsonwindows No built in video & audio apps for you, loser! - EU

Kinda wanna write some articles for old Linux distros people haven’t really heard of.

I added an external link to the page at least that has iso format of Yggdrasil Linux images.

Kind of worried about doing something wrong though, like whether a page I made is actually worthy or not. Like Storm Linux for example. There’s no page on that but there is for the company that made it.

EDIT: See this: https://bitbang.social/@SinclairSpeccy/111594654269253020

SinclairSpeccy,

@siliconundergro 🤔 I could write about the OSes for my site… it would make more people look at my site

SinclairSpeccy,

@siliconundergro I’d just need to figure out how much to write and all…

SinclairSpeccy,

@DialupDownload @siliconundergro My current layout of my site is weird so I wonder if I need to change it up to make it presentable at least 😅

48 years ago on December 16, 1975, IMS Associates began shipping its IMSAI 8080 computer kits.

Originally shipped as kits for assembly by the user, the IMSAI 8080 gained popularity, and eventually, the company shifted to producing fully assembled units.

In total, between 17,000 and 20,000 units of the IMSAI 8080 were manufactured.

Subsequently, an additional 2,500 units were produced under the Fischer-Freitas name

Wtf it’s been a few days since I got my fillings and now I can’t eat properly as it hurts where the tooth that got the filling is. Does this mean I’m gonna need a root canal…?

Tried to eat chips at least two days ago and it hurt and now it eats to eat my sandwich which isn’t even that hard or aggressive on my teeth

SinclairSpeccy,

@siliconundergro That’s weird. You’d think they would put that into thought when they were fixing it, no?

I know they said that my cavity was near the root of my tooth

When I was still in high school I had this kid in my class who would tell people to "kiss ya nan" as an insult. Kind of a weird insult

SinclairSpeccy,

@DialupDownload Maybe that’s the case… oof
