I am seeing a lot of hubbub over a third case of in a human in the US.

Just to be clear: Right now, in our "lowest" point of in almost a year, 278 Americans are being infected EVERY MINUTE. Ten percent or more will go on to suffer months or years of Long COVID symptoms. Some will have damaged brains, hearts, and other organs.

We shouldn't lose focus on the immediate and real risks we face of COVID.

I hate to be picky, but even 278 per minute is:
278 x 60 minutes = 16680 per hour
x 24 hours per day = 400320 new infections per day
x 365 = 146,116, 800 by next June. I don't think there are going to be quite so many infected as all that. I think there are more vaccinated people than that.

I've had 6 covid vaxes and always wear my mask grocery shopping or in crowds, so I am not a covid denialist, just an engineer.

First, I've detested Joe Biden for 32 years. Second, I hate DINOs. Third, Jimmy Carter was the last Democratic POTUS. Fourth, a DINO and tool of the MIC is still better than a moron dictator who worships Putin and loves Kim Jong In.
Trump murdered over a million Americans and many more will die with him and the sadistic GOP in charge. Especially women, but I doubt that you give a shit about that.

What every president since Truman has done to the Palestinians. Gaza is just a continuation of the Zionist colonization of Palestine. Netanyahu's sadistic slaughter of the indigenous people of Palestine was aided by every Western power. Biden tried to end the worst of the arms shipments, but the way our govt is organized, the Republican House made stopping them entirely impossible. Biden gets VERY bad advice from his Zionist Sec of State,, too.

Jimmy Carter tried for a two-state solution and eventually won a Nobel Peace Prize for quieting things down for a while. As always, Carter gets sold short because the hawks badgered him into a helicopter attack that ran into a sandstorm that wound up costing him the election. Without that attack, he'd have probably been in for a second term and we might never have had to suffer Reagan. We might not even be facing the climate crisis.
