Productive morning; got all the workouts done, helped @TAV with getting her paddleboard in the Rideau, then a nice bike ride (Rideau River Eastern Pathway to Hog's back, along the canal, over the locks, through the Arboretum, along Dow’s Lake and back into Lowertown. Got some work done sitting in the back, started laundry, and made lunch.

Earned my #HalfMarathon PR today on the beautiful #SammamishRiverTrail (SRT): time 1:48:25 pace 8'16”/mile according to #Strava. My watch again generously claims time was 1:42:49. I picked Strava to be the record.

Temp feels like 50F, dew point 47F, cloudy w/ breeze 3.2mph SW. In other words, perfect weather to get PR!

Been a busy day; slept in, 23 km of cycling with @TAV, brunch, groceries, TAV cut my hair, washed the windows, hung new curtains, tidied up, played some Minecraft, and … now I'm caught up here.

Tomorrow's a holiday here (Victoria Day), so I think I'll split the difference; sleep in to 6:30, then work half the day. 🤔

Wild how it took so long to do something so simple. Not that I long to visit the byward Market but Majors Hill or Rideau Falls were rarely on the list of destinations if this was the direction of travel. But this makes basic access possible especially with the bridge open and the new NCC lookout on the +50% complete?? status #ottawa #ottbike #biketooter

One of the largest HM in the world happened today in Göteborg. My new employer sponsors runners 👊 (signup fee, tent in the starting area with drinks, bbq, etc). Though I have my main ultra race next week I participated and took it as a training run (easy tempo pace without pushing it, definitely not race pace ). My start was at 1345 with over 30C in the sun (26C regular). 🥵😎. It was a fun event. More than 200000 spectators along the course. (Haven’t run it since 2004 (1:19 - 20 years later 20 minutes slower 🤣)). Legs felt quite fresh after it. Ran back home 🙈 (4km). Heat was noticeable on the HR. But it didn’t had an effect on my hydration needs. Took only small sips every 5K at the aid stations. 🤷‍♂️. Good day. #trailrunning #running https://www.goteborgsvarvet.se/
