Just because Norway currently has a centre–left government, doesn't mean they give a sh*t about the environment.

This is typical of major parties on both sides. It's really hard to get anywhere when people keep voting for parties that prefer short term profit over anything else.

Police nabbed a graffiti artist attempting to flee the scene of committing this (picture) adorable art in the harbor of Visby, Gotland, the large island just outside southeastern mainland Sweden.
The 27-year-old was prosecuted for vandalism, with the prosecutor demanding a fine.

Police's interrogation records said e.g. that "His intention is to offer free art to passersby." and... the District Court of Gotland... agreed.

The court's ruling states that no harm has been proven and that the artist "on a gray and cracked concrete façade which is the short end of a loading dock, has depicted a lamb.", that "The way in which X has illustrated the lamb testifies to an artistic work carried out with a certain amount of artistic and technical skill." then finally "According to the District Court's opinion, the beauty value of the cracked concrete façade - in purely objective terms - has increased through X's painting." so the 27-year old artist was acquitted by the court, which also ruled that the police had must return the spray cans they had confiscated.

Damn hippies. ;-D

The proportion of women on company boards and in national parliaments is now 33%.

The highest scoring countries on the index are:

There’s progress. However, there’s more work to be done to also address other issues such as the gender pay gap and gender-based violence.

thinking this morning about how much I like GitUp’s git visualizations. (https://gitup.co/)

the main thing I like about it (over git log --graph --oneline) is that it shows you the state of ALL your branches, not just the current branch you're on

but the problem is gitup is mac-only. is there an open source cross-platform git visualization tool (other than gitk) that does the same thing? ideally not an editor plugin

    Updating tweaking before the weekend hits with turning on CSV exports.

    This time around, lists can picked based on their Heat Rating, which is the number of actions Sources have taken against an instance.

    For example, if the Heat Rating is 80%, that means 80% of the Current Sources have taken action against an instance by either silencing or suspending the sites on the list.

    This adds more flexibility for admins who want to curate their experience.

    And the export features are still a work in progress, so please review the lists before using them.

    If there is a site on there that you feel shouldn't be listed, send me URL for that instance in a DM and tell me why you think it shouldn't be there and I'll take it to the group to discuss.

    Any rude, aggressive, or racist comments will be ignored and blocked. Keep it peaceful and cordial, and it's all good.

    Would it be useful to have a switch, to differentiate blocking and silencing?
    So e.g. you could block sites with 80% blocks and consider the ones with 80%
