Canadians being “nice” an internet myth I have unfortunately found. They are just americans in most macro sense. Their history is as much, if not more, bloody.
I reread this book recently and found it much less profound than my first read. I know people like to really harp about this book but it’s not really that useful with what we know about reality today.
The number of examples I have seen of people being told to shut up about their lived experiences with sexual abuse in the past 24 hours on this platform is deeply disturbing....
Reminder that “national boundaries with mercator projection” maps are, while on the surface interesting, on a meaningful enough level are less useful due to sheer degree of variance. Small (sized) countries get buried to thr point of not being visible, while large (populated) countries get over-generalised to the point of meaninglessness.
Fucking awesome. I do hope the americans keep Biden in though, in other words keep Trump out. It is unfortunate but getting covid is preferable than getting murdered.
But that’s for seasonally political people, who are political only during elections. Hopefully people keep the energy up and realise how small relying on electoralism is, and politics and struggle are a constant endeavour and not just a once in four year thing.
Yeah. “Apolotical” bull fucking shit. If you look at 99% of eurovision songs, you’ll see that’s what they want - art without voice, a sort of generic smoothover that’s is too afraid to even hint at a belief
