The smoke in the air is even worse today. Tomorrow will be more of the same. Hopefully the storms that come through tomorrow night will make it better.

I just got this super cute watch face for my . I love it. It's also got all the different flags and a bunch of different symbols and words you can use.

@victor I was a little jealous of all the pride bands for the Watch, so I needed to find a nice watch face on the Play store instead. Lol.

@victor Damn that's a shame!

    @victor I enjoy living in a very diverse area, and I was fortunate to grow up in one too.

    Report: The Pixel Watch 2 dumps Samsung Exynos SoCs for Qualcomm

    Anything would be an upgrade over the 4-year-old Exynos in the Pixel Watch.

    benhaube,
    @benhaube@twit.social avatar

    @victor Yeah, the Exynos SOC are not the most power efficient when compared to Qualcomm. Still, I find the battery life I am getting to be satisfactory. I do not mind charging once a day.

    benhaube,
    @benhaube@twit.social avatar

    @victor Yep! I have a really hard time justifying buying another watch a year later, so I will probably wait until the Pixel Watch 3. Lol

    benhaube,
    @benhaube@twit.social avatar

    @victor That watch is huge, so they can afford having a giant battery in it. Something that big would look cartoonish on my little wrist. 😂

    @victor In the past I would have agreed with you. However, now it's a different story. The new Samsung watches are great and I have loved my Pixel Watch so far.

    benhaube,
    @benhaube@twit.social avatar

    @victor It is pretty good. There are a lot of apps and even games for Wear OS. I don't know why you would want to play a game on your watch, but whatever. I stick to the Fitbit tracking built into the Pixel Watch, but there are also a ton of fitness apps you can download.

    There's also what seems like millions of watch faces to download. Although, I tend to stick with the included watch faces. The ones that come with the Pixel Watch are really good.

    @victor I have AOD on and tilt-to-wake off, and I wake up every morning with at least 30% remaining. I charge it every morning when I get up, so I have no issues at all getting 24 hours out of it which is fine with me. I imagine I could do a day and a half if I needed to.

    The new Thunderbird logo looks great! Major improvement compared to the previous one.

    benhaube,
    @benhaube@twit.social avatar

    @thelinuxEXP I agree. It looks nice and it matches the Firefox logo. I'm a K9 Mail user on Android. I wonder when they will change it over to Thunderbird?

    benhaube,
    @benhaube@twit.social avatar

    @killyourfm Cool, thanks. It's a great email client for Android. The only thing I would really like to see is the adoption of Material Design 3.

    honored a request from an Israeli company and removed a web browser for from the Play Store. The request was filed because the app has the potential to access a pirate site.

    This is obviously ridiculous yet Google still has declined one of the developer's appeals, and failed to respond to the second. How can they be this incompetent when it comes to frivolous DMCA notices and false copyright strikes? People are abusing their systems like crazy.

    Here we go! The generated fake news wars have begun. If this was able to cause the stock market to dip, what is going to happen when something extremely severe goes viral and causes mass panic? We are in scarry times.

    Can we just appreciate that Elon Musk made a whole new checkmark for people who are critical of paying for Blue Checks—and he’s giving these away for free?

    benhaube,
    @benhaube@twit.social avatar

    @atomicpoet Not surprised in the slightest. His smooth brain is incapable of having a good idea.

    @benhaube@twit.social avatar

    @mmasnick So in other words, Twitter Blue is so bad that he needs to punish people by forcing it on them for free. Seems like a great thing to bet your company on after paying 3X what it's worth to aquire it.

    @jeffjarvis I think it mainly reminds us of how fascist the right has become. They hate trans people so much that they become outraged when they see ANY trans person making money.
