@krazyjakee when there's global state (ammo, health, mana, resources in your base) for the player to keep track of or cool-downs involved, that are not indicated by anything else.

Two public clients are once again owning me a lot of money due to slow bureaucracy.

And as you might imagine, that is not great for my finances.

In #godot, how do I render a giant 3D planet in space without rinsing my GPU? #godotengine I've tried viewports and skybox shaders with a viewport texture rendered on top. Subviewports are sooo heavy

@krazyjakee oh thaat just calls for a flow map, not a 3D Model ;)

Anyways: Rendering multiple viewports should not be unthinkable performance-wise, So I am a bit surprised you are running into this issue.

How are you rendering the viewport texture? And how heavy is your planet to render on it's own. Does it have a really high render-distance?

Does anybody know a good, smart, #OpenSource #calendar?

I mean there are many basic iCal implementations and more project management tools that I can count.

But an app, where I can do stuff like ... remind me to take my meds 1h after my alarm goes off ... I want to meet with these 4 friends, can you find a date for us?

By the way, as I have seen and heared about incredibly ignorant hot takes on :

Educate yourself on blame-free culture.

What has happened is not the fault of a maintainer and the project being infected is not bad because of the backdoor.

This is the companies and the foss community failing to properly support maintainers critical to their infrastructure.

I am Working on a open Source Closed Captioning System for Games, and try use existing TV Standards as a starting point (as game standards are generally bad). However: some of these Standards need Adaptation to be usable for games, so help me out by filling this survey.

TIL: breaks most screen readers, as they are not not intended by design. (they need to interact with other apps)

Wayland is now the default in pretty much all gnome distros.

Orca has workarounds, but they are not merged and not fully working. (And a blind user can't built it without a working screen reader)

I'm not entirely sure if I got this correct, but it seems to me like the community once again booted the .

@Impossible_PhD Honest question: are you irritated by it in general?

Because I personally find it quite helpful when people see me running against a wall and try to correct me.

  • I may not always find their tips helpful
  • I may not always be able to follow their advice
  • and I do get annoyed when they can't deal with me saying "no, thanks" to their advice

But I like being criticized, and I feel more and I feel insecure when I get no feedback on something.

@Impossible_PhD Also somewhat related: I've noticed a trait that I find very irritating about somebody else is they are giving tons of unsolicited advice, regardless of their knowledge on the subject. So unqualified unsolicited advice.

It's just that ... me giving them an article about unsolicited advice feels ... ironic.

Hmm .. I know I am probably sounding like a huge troll right now, but I am having a bit of a thought tangle around giving feedback and respecting boundaries right now. 2/2

Because -especially when under stress- I tend to get tangled up to a point where I am not really able to ask for advice and make tons of mistakes. So I am very thankful about people pointing out me messing up, even when I did not ask for it.

As for giving feedback to the person that is always giving out unsolicited advice.Yeah that thought really got tangled up. 1/2

Beim gab es einen Talk, in dem es um Hoffnung ging.

Zentraler Aspekt des Talks war Kunst: Kunst, die nicht von Menschen gemacht wurde.

Ich kann nicht sagen, wie sehr mir das das Herz bricht. Dass Leute im Chaos wenn sie über Hoffnung reden sofort an Maschinen denken, die Menschen das Kunst machen abnehmen.

Es gibt mir das Gefühl, dass es vielleicht doch ein Fehler war mich für diese Community zu engagieren. Und ich fühle mich gerade weder sicher noch willkommen.

Ich habe heute übrigens noch als 3D Druck Projekt für den Congress einen fantastischen, aber sehr spezifischen Shitpost erstellt.

Wer aus dem kennt das?

Drei grüne Tropfen die verkehrt herum sind und aus gewickelten Metalldraht bestehen auf einem grünen glänzenden Boden vor einer Büro-Fassade. Einer Der Tropfen hat Googlz Augen und eine Rote mütze mit weißer Bommel.
