So much beautiful art has been released recently on that I couldn’t keep up.

This short thread is just me trying to point out some projects that caught my attention, and there are numerous others that I hope to cover later.

🧵⤵️

Collage of 6 digital artworks: "There's No Distance " by Casey Reas "cambi " by Geoffrey Crayon “Mom look, it's glowing! ” by agrshch "Strange Terrain #3" by Nate Nolting "Ratio " by Night Sea "Float Abyss #6" by CHOUCHIAWEI

“Ratio” by Night Sea: Like a generative fireplace, the intermittent visual and acoustic noise is reminiscent of burning wood crackling.

2/7

"Ratio ", an animated abstract digital artwork showing vertical bars of smooth, slowly changing gradients of orange and brown.

“Float Abyss” by CHOUCHIAWEI: Vast complex structures in space, confusing perspectives occasionally revealing glimpses of a greater shape, reminiscent of Kyles's MEGASTRUCTURES. A pity that there are distracting dark bars around the images.

#6 and (in my collection)

3/7

Abstract three–dimensional digital artwork of a large number of complex, technical looking shapes arranged in circles that extend beyond the edge of the screen. The background is black with tiny white dots resembling distant stars.

“Strange Terrain” by @natenolting: The generative landscape remains in the background and the nested frames define the images. Often in life, it’s about the framing of what we experience that makes a difference.

“Mom look, it's glowing!” by agrshch: Abstract virtual sculptures of dancing neon light tubes, reminiscent of "Wandering Nets" by @mattebb.

“There’s No Distance” by Casey Reas: The art is in the live view; smooth animation of dithered black and white shapes that are 2D projections of complex 3D cube rotations. Areas where shapes meet appear visually most intriguing.

“cambi” by Geoffrey Crayon: The endless possible variations of this open project and the visuals that often resemble digital, glitched snake skin make me see this as a representation of the mythological Ouroboros.

"formless-z" by Costa Chung (OneRocket) feel both familiar and strange in the images' discomfortingly imperfect resemblance of humanoid figures.

The random shapes that the algorithm generates look like distorted, hunched over bodies of alien astronauts, and more often than not, the number of limbs exceeds what we'd expect to see in humanoid creatures.

Shaded spheres appear as helmeted heads or strange appendices protruding from what could be interpreted as torsos or limbs. The jagged, striped texture that covers the bodies reminds me of futuristic armor or scales and increases the startling atmosphere that the images radiate.

An extraordinary work of art, and I had to visualize the creatures in some rough sketches.

@robertoranon Hey Roberto, I feel the same way. So many gems, and hardly any projects are actually properly appreciated.

I love how "Orbitals" by Mallory combines bold colours and big shapes with retro riso print vibes.

The images consist entirely of circles of different sizes, and despite their minimal basic structure, the outputs feel varied from each other and complex on their own. The duotone palettes make them feel at the same time colourful and restrained, and the worn textures are the cherry on the cake.

A pairing that I recently added to my collection:

"Highway, Beach" by Dennis Chilas (DDDC) from his new collection "Tales From Above" and "Nausicaa " by @qotonana, recently released on .

I like how the colours and shapes work together. The rusty orange that increases the impact of both images isn't a tone you come across frequently, and it makes both works special.

Bravata by Omar Lobato (@seigneurrrr) is an emotional, dynamic and expressive work of .

My fellow Atelier writer @deuspoeticus took a deep dive and wrote an article about it that I recommend you to read. Here, I want to show my favourite outputs from a project that I feel didn't get the attention it deserves.

An thread.🧵⤵️

Bravata (owned by Aluan Wang (@ioivm))

Palette: Sea

Bright blue, soft purple, and shades of grey evoke images of fluid ocean life. Resembling tentacles, sea anemones or eels, the coiling brush work seems to dance in swarms of plankton.

The connotations I experience when looking at this iteration puts the bravado that the project is named after in the context of exploration and immersion.

Bravata (owned by zeze)

Palette: Reef

Despite the palette's name, I see open skies and soft, billowing clouds in this mint. The red branches at the corner of the image that—in a maritime context—might be seen as corals rather appear as threatening thorn bushes that oppose the openness of the composition, adding a special tension that takes "Bravata" to face.

3/8

boringold,
@boringold@genart.social avatar

Bravata (owned by @mrtaztaz)

Palette: Heat

Resembling an abstract image in ink and watercolour, I get vibes of Chinese landscape paintings. The aesthetics make me think of this iteration's dynamic brushstrokes as dancing dragons and floating flowers.

4/8

boringold,
@boringold@genart.social avatar

Bravata #5 (owned by @pixel0symphony)

Palette: Æther

Like a force of nature, a dark, looming cloud of deep purple is illuminated by vibrant yellow outbursts of lightning.

This iteration feels full of life and energy, balancing mankind's deeply ingrained fear of the forces of nature with a joyful appreciation of their beauty (imagine me running into a storm with a big grin, my eyes closed, as the wind washes thick drops of water into my face).

5/8

boringold,
@boringold@genart.social avatar

Bravata (owned by dmarcrypto)

Palette: Mono

This iteration feels to me like a primordial scene of white lines of electricity dancing over abstract stone surfaces, raising clouds of smoke in the process.

Stark contrasts and the juxtaposition of energetic lines and flowing brush strokes result in a highly dynamic composition.

6/8

boringold,
@boringold@genart.social avatar

*Bravata " (owned by Dispatcher)

Palette: Kozan

Is the Turkish city of Kozan near any volcanic sites, or has the palette a different inspiration? Anyway, I see sparks of glowing embers and masses of molten lava in this particular image.

The big, amorphous shape of deep purple appears almost black and takes on an alarmingly monstrous and lively form that seems to float in the air and breath fire at us, threatening our bravado.

7/8

boringold,
@boringold@genart.social avatar

The outputs of Bravata by Omar Lobato are full of emotion and feel highly dynamic. Their abstract nature and the high tension between different visual elements makes me react quite visceral to their possible interpretations of bravery, challenges, acceptance and exploration.

If you haven't already, you can explore the full image space following this link: https://www.fxhash.xyz/generative/slug/bravata-1

Au contraire, mon ami! I'm pretty sure you have a firm concept of what your art is meant to be. I just haven't made up my mind about what I see in the waves generated by Aqueduct beyond the obvious similarity to, well, aqueducts.☺️

1/ "Outliers" by @ateliergenart was released today on .

The mints that are now incoming are the manifestation of the hard work that the artists @nclslbrn , @chempathy_nft, @seigneurrrr and @lammetje_nl, and curators/editors @aether and @pixel0symphony put into it.

Here's a short thread to show off these projects together with other beautiful stuff I found there today.
