Oh happy day, it is Friday, and it is a half day, and it has been A WEEK.

A summary:

Management: Test this feature THOROUGHLY.
QC: Of course, that is what we do. Also, it’s gonna take a while, cause we can do it fast, or do it well, and we’re gonna do it well - and it came in kinda late and has already needed a few fixes.
Management: LOL, no, make tests go BRRRR.

Other than laundry, the to-do list for the day is cleared and in record time, cause I went 100MPH on it and half-assed a lot of it. 🤣 But things are cleaner than when I started, so, mission accomplished.

Also got some yoga in and I have got to stop falling off that wagon - it's nice, I enjoy it, it's good for me.

And I even made myself a salad for lunch - I'm just adulting all over the place here.

The eclipse was amazing! Even though we were only at 40% here at the University of Regina, there were over 1,000 people who showed up to watch the eclipse at max! That's at least 10x as many people as I expected. I also had 3 media interviews and 2 film student documentary interviews yesterday. So much interest in the sky!

I am really happy about how that went! Especially the extremely low-tech sour cream container projector I made at the last minute for the campus telescope.

Very glad I took today off and so wishing my company would try a 4 day workweek. When we do capacity planning, we plan for 6 hours of work (testing, coding, etc) per day and the rest is admin, emails, meetings, and whatnot.

Just let me get my 30 hours of testing done by Thursday and then I can not be a pain in everyone’s ass on Fridays. Really, everyone wins.
