Finally got off the fence and bought a good ticket to Symphony's upcoming performance of Takemitsu's "From me flows what you call Time". Masur is conducting! Looking forward to hearing it in MSO's over-the-top but acoustically excellent hall. Front row balcony!

Released in the UK on this day in 1967, the Jimi Hendrix Experience "Are You Experienced". The album was not released until August in the US. It took the performance at Monterey Pop, in June, to get the album released in the US on a different label, with a few different tracks, and different cover.

I finally did it and moved to a more appropriate "home realm" for a enthusiast. Thanks @stefano for offering this!

Moving followers worked flawlessly, restoring all my settings was pretty quick, but of course all my old toots are left on https://techhub.social/@zirias 🙈

So I guess I'll introduce myself here by writing a little thread, adding a few of my works that someone might find interesting. But first a bit of "who am I":

I'm a "professional" software architect/developer (mostly platform in the day job), FreeBSD hobby-admin and ports committer, fan (and occassionally coder and even musician), and apart from computers also interested in music (playing a few instruments myself), traveling, cooking, sometimes sports, sometimes politics ... but probably won't toot about any non-technical stuff (or, very very rarely).

I gotta say, I wish people would not feel obligated to put mood enhancing background music on their videos. emo or techno or ambient or whatever, I can't even watch content on some sites without turning the sound off (weather.com for a random example).

@mmstick I own four System76 machines and love all of them, but it's my choice what to think about this issue, not yours. Also whether to replace the 12-year-old one or switch vendors.
