Pinot is a skilled pixel artist and animator who does his work on #vintageComputing hardware, mostly early #Macintosh computers.

He suffered a devastating stroke in 2022 and lost much of his motor control. I’m glad to see him back doing #pixelArt and posting again! Give him a follow on Instagram if you’re there.

🤏📺 The smallest CRT monitor in our collection. 😍 You could see something like this being used by cashiers in stores 20-25 years ago.

Firing up on my 40 year old for the first time in probably 35 years. Actually, I'm not sure if I ever go PolyPascal running on it, or it was just the previous version, Compas Pascal. Glad to see an old friend from the era again though. It's been too long.

Everything back together now with G3 goodness

I did discover that three clips that hold the front broke off already, need to glue them back at a later date, but the 8100 is mostly restored and quieter now as it only runs off the BlueSCSI, the HD is disconnected, but causes a slight about 10 sec delay when it cold boots.

I love the 8-bit and 16-bit compositions and arrangements of Tim Follin.

This is a 3-channel Commodore 64 SID chiptune for the 1988 Black Lamp game.

Be sure to wait for the solo starting at around 42 seconds into the track. 👍👍

🛠️🍏 Next week, our volunteer Andrés will begin assembling a museum replica of the Apple I computer. It's an "open lab," so feel free to get hands-on, as it will take place in the classroom on the 1st floor. All are welcome!

40 years later, a game for the ZX Spectrum will be once again broadcast over FM radio! 📻 Anyone who still has a working Spectrum ZX will then be able to test the game. 🎮 Those who do not have one can do so at the museum or online. 💻

New video! In the second part of the series, I'm trying to resurrect the Apple Macintosh Performa 630 Power Supply I found to have lots of leaky capacitors in the previous episode.

📻 We are broadcasting a ZX Spectrum game over the air in collaboration with Radio Student! This week marks Radio Student's 55th anniversary, and they were among the European stations broadcasting computer programs over the radio in the 1980s, a tradition we are reviving. The game being aired is Kontrabant 2, originally released by Radio Student in 1984. 🎮

Hi! Does somebody maybe know US or EU based individual/site/company where I can order punching data to cards (standard, 12-row/80-column punched cards)? So I send them data to be punched (no cards) and they would send me the punch cards by post? Have in mind Im asking about punch cards, not tapes.

The G3 Accelerator Upgrade for the Power Macintosh 8100. It should speed things up considerably as the 601, while fast back in 1994 eventually got outpaced by the 604 and eventually the G3.Wait, you can upgrade CPUs? Yes, you can with these accelerator cards, something you can't do with modern Macs.

Sure, the Power Macintosh G3 are faster, but it can't run Mac OS 7. Adding this will make it a fast Mac that can run it.

Apparently, you cannot install After Dark 4 on a Japanese version of Mac OS 8.6.

Wait, region locking was a thing. :meowfacepalm:

Get ready to tune in your tape recorders! On May 8th at 9:30 pm, we'll be airing computer programs over the airwaves! Tune in to the frequency 89.3 FM to catch a broadcast of a ZX Spectrum game. After tuning in to the radio, you'll have the opportunity to record the game onto your tape. Then, you can play it on your Spectrum and dive right into the gaming experience!

Is there anyone who knows about the internals of the 3.3 finder/wm? It does some mount magic with CDROMs on inject/eject - but I cant find it documented or if there's API's to hook into that process.
