Does anyone have an 11ty 2.0 repo I could look at, specifically using SASS partials (with use or import) working in the live reload?

I've gone through guide after guide and tried a few different approaches now, but the live reload just isn't working for me unless I go save the file that's importing it.

Example:

I update the partial (_base.scss), but nothing happens until I go back to index.scss (Where the import is) and save.

😱 I found my old pixel art! (Thought it was lost forever)

For a while in 2018 I thought I would try my hand at it. I ended up doing about 32 in total, by participating in Pixel Dailies.

All were created in the tool Aseprite.

I'm pretty happy with some of them, others were terrible. And it all took too much time (Especially the animated ones) 😅

I won't post them all here, just some highlights if that's ok.

Starting with the first one I ever did.

Tina CMS be looking very very interesting 👀

I didn't know it could be self-hosted, they also have a generous per project 'free-for-life' tier on their own hosting (Tina Cloud) which would work for many use-cases, up to two users.

I can see this being the CMS I learn and offer future clients, paired with 11ty.

I was toying with the idea of sharing stuff for various projects on TikTok (An account for each project where it might make sense to do so)

and... I don't think I can - I get the ick every time I open the the website/app 🤮

Its basically all short video content too which I'm not really sure I want to lean in on (or at least, I haven't found an effective workflow for it yet)

About to attempt my blog again (lol)

I'm doing a little restructuring and again wondering what the best URL combo is.

my TLD is .blog, so I'm not doing .blog/blog/<post> ...

It's currently .blog/<category>/<post>

Seen some folks keep it simple, .blog/<post>. I like that because the tag/category can change - the post url lives.

Date is interesting, .blog/2023/07/25/<post>, and I suppose I could do shorter versions of that too (month, or just year) 🤔

My pessimism for the Affinity acquisition was perhaps too strong yesterday?

Today I got this in my email, four pledges - here is a quote from the first

"If we do offer a subscription, it will only ever be as an option alongside the perpetual model, for those who prefer it. This fits with enabling Canva users to start adopting Affinity."

If they can stick to pledge 1, of always offering a perpetual license, then I can be happy with that.

I'm not one to care or track this shit either - but damn, it's nice to ask a question or share something and it's not just crickets 🦗 My recent language question got boosted through the roof and received so many helpful replies (Thanks 💚)

This is also proving that solo instances can work - My feed is always buzzing (Added a couple of relays to help there) and my posts seem to be reaching folk.

I wanted to love #Lemmy as a replacement for #Reddit but I'm experiencing a whole bunch of bugs with it so far.

• Feed refreshes as I try to read.

• I'll be on one post, come back later and it's changed.

• post comments stick around as I read other posts.

• My profile seems borked and I cant see my comments.

But. I'm actually finding I'm not really missing reddit? I totally wish Lemmy and pals well, but I no longer feel the need to consume news / content like that.

Re-recording done for our first YouTube video for the board game project! (Our first one one had to get scrapped because we were out of focus for the whole thing 😅)

I've never been in front of the camera before talking like this, so it's really taken the energy out of me. Anxiety, imposter syndrome, hating how my voice sounds? All that good stuff. Now to chuck 48GB worth of footage into Final Cut and see what I can turn it into 👀

Anyone here leant into the idea of a digital garden? Perhaps you tried it and found it wasn't for you? Would love to check some out.

I've become more and more enamored with this idea.

I'd do away with published dates and a chronological list (For the most part, I still need to consider RSS) and I'd remove any pressure that a post needs to be fully finished to post it.

I could tend to the digital garden over time and nurture older, incomplete posts... if I wanted.

Was watching some YouTube before on the TV and it started to sporadically flick to a dark screen, the UI elements from the YouTube App also went with that, so that rules out the video itself.

It was so sporadic though we've yet to determine what it is... YouTube app? HDMI Cable? Apple TV? the TV itself!?

For the sake of €€€, I hope it's just the app or very most the HDMI cable failing 😬
