    We can all agree that EyeSight just doesn’t begin to achieve what it set out to, right? There is a whole lot of weight, battery and component expense dedicated to this feature, and it doesn’t make me feel like I can see Joanna at all

    @bastianallgeier My grandfather was an alcoholic, and abusive as a parent. My father-in-law is a narcissist and also abusive (but my oldest son of 8 currently loves him). I’m not anywhere close to claiming these are the same, but… I can sort of understand how it might feel to grow up and learn what kind of person your grandpa is. I’m sorry for how much it must have hurt.

    I agree with @gruber that this is a corporate pissing match, but I also understand not dedicating engineering resources (any of them) to a $3500 dev kit masked as a consumer product (it prob will be a consumer product but it won’t be at launch) at launch. Especially when the company who makes said dev kit has gone out of its way to undermine your business.     As a single dad, what I need is critical mass for some kind of web app that allows parents to highlight their child's playdate availability to a private address book. I keep texting and getting rejected (kinda like dating - ha!) because I can't tell ahead of time with parents I've already connected with. Needlessly wastes so much time, energy.

    I think I found a konami code of sorts in the Apple Translate app:

    • Launch Translate
    • For the first language, select “English (US)”
    • For the second language, select “Chinese (Mandarin, Traditional)” or “Chinese (Mandarin, Simplified)”
    • In the "English (US)” box, enter the phrase “hot avocado platypus” (without quotes)
    • See what the "translation" is 😂
