@john@TechCrunch at the moment, SkyBridge lets you use e.g. Ivory with a Bluesky account. It’s a bit clunky and some things don’t work “properly”, but it does basically work. Specifically, the two protocols are separate, so you don’t see Mastodon stuff in your Bsky feed and Vice Versa.
@rhipratchett out of interest, is it all new content, or is it using some existing material, with a narrative wrapper? Like a clip show, but I assume a really good clip show which is worth watching in its own right, like the Simpsons used to do.
Tapbots was founded 15 years ago today! Okay, yesterday to be exact. But to celebrate this moment in our timeline, we are finally releasing some Tapbots and Ivory goods over on Cotton Bureau! So head on over, peruse the merchandise and buy (or don’t buy) something for yourself before they are gone. Either way, we wouldn’t be here today without all of your support, so thank you very much! 🙏
@ivory Will there be a Bluesky client/native support in Ivory in the future, or have you been justifiably burned by your previous experience with the whims of sinister corporations?
UK readers probably remember (or are at least aware of) this country's first famous celebrity chef, Fanny Craddock.
You might also have heard the well known anecdote about how she stormed out of the Parkinson talk show studio after finding out that fellow guest Danny La Rue was a man in drag. It's cited in The Guardian, on Wikipedia, just about everywhere.
Except, as this latest impeccably-researched post in the really excellent Dirty Feed UK TV blog explains, it never happened and never even could have happened.
