I am totally blind, and I am interested in archiving rare software such as old screen readers and speech synthesizers. I am also an audio and mythology nerd.

A new version of the DECtalk speak windows collection is up! This version includes some builds produced this year, and it is a bit more organized. https://datajake.braillescreen.net/tts/dectalk%20software%20and%20manual/DECtalk%20Speak%20windows.7z

I found a zip file containing 500 General MIDI soundfonts on the Internet Archive, totaling around 46 GB when uncompressed. I have mirrored the contents of the archive at https://datajake.braillescreen.net/500_Soundfonts_Full_GM_Sets

The MikroPuhe speech synthesizer has the ability to sing, and ships with some example song files. One of these is an attempt at singing a song in english, and @MutedTrampet and I find this hilarious.

Many years ago, I downloaded a BitTorrent Sync folder that contains over 80 GB of speech synthesizers. In this folder, there is a copy of Mikropuhe 5.1 (a Finnish speech synthesizer). The Mikropuhe CD happened to contain a copy of a Speech Synthesis CD-ROM from 1999. It turns out this CD on a CD has the high quality WAV versions of the speech synthesis examples I found almost 10 years ago, and this was all sitting on my hard drive all this time! I have uploaded this speech synthesis CD at https://datajake.braillescreen.net/tts/SpeechCD.zip
Enjoy and boost!

I am possibly the first person who discovered and archived some extremely rare MIDI files that were included with WordPerfect Presentations 2.0. The DOS version of this program includes GS SFX MIDIs, however the program change message for selecting the SFX drum kit is off by 1 (57 instead of 56), so they won't play properly unless you edit them. You can download an archive of all of these MIDI files at https://datajake.braillescreen.net/utilities/WordPerfect%20Presentations%202.0%20MIDI%20files.7z

I just found an archive that contains over 200000 MIDI files. It is over 6 GB uncompressed, and I re-compressed it to 7Z to reduce the download size a bit. https://datajake.braillescreen.net/200K%20MEGA%20MIDI.7z

It is possible this is the first time this has happened in DECtalk history.
