My crashed yesterday. First time in 3 years it’s put a foot wrong! And it’s just made me even more impressed with it, this tiny little Pi Zero W handling all the houses traffic. Especially when I’ve got things like MS Teams that needs killing and reopening several times a day

I'm currently looking at which seems okay

    @eeeps @Meyerweb I had to create some automated UI tests recently for a non-react site, I needed to select an item in a drop-down. Except, it wasn't a select item, it was all divs, and more divs, and checkbox's recreated as SVGs with a ton of JS to make it all work.

    I still fill sick

    @cliffwade the kids enjoy doing a little Easter egg hunt, and chocolate eggs, but that’s it. So we’re not really celebrating, just eating chocolate and avoiding family

    @jamescooke I finished going through the tutorial today which is worth doing. I picked the game up in the Nintendo sale after having a little nostalgic moment thinking back to playing it on the Amiga and wanted that again. I jumped into a sandbox game where you play with just you, and the AI if you choose to engage (which if you want to expand you have to), and I’ve lost hours in finding new resources, setting up roads, creating things like sawmills, and absolutely loved it

    I once again need to point out that the C# DevKit for VS Code requires a VS License to use it commercially. Not a good or bad thing, but a fact. Carry on.

    dazfuller,
    @dazfuller@mstdn.social avatar

    @csnetprogrammer @khalidabuhakmeh where I work many of the devs end up in vscode because full fat vs just crashes, eats up all the resource, or just doesn’t work. Sometimes they do it just because it’s lighter weight to work with.

    Is it possible to stop the proliferation of AI-generated books on platforms such as Amazon? Please vote below and post your reasons in the comments. If there is enough, we will use this for an article.

    dazfuller,
    @dazfuller@mstdn.social avatar

    @suswatibasu I sort of wanted a “Yes, but they won’t” option.

    Through automated tooling and human intervention they could flag items which might be AI generated, to then be followed up. Yes this would absolutely flag up some genuine works, and the system won’t be perfect, but it would stop proliferation.

    They won’t though as there’s no incentive for them to do so whilst there are gatekeepers, like Amazon, for the ebook market. We need a better and open distribution system to drive up quality
