So, I hear Switzerland won, but Ukraine and Israel won the public vote in thus supporting my view that most people harbour at least one unforgivably awful and ignorant opinion that, were I to know it, would make me go right off them 😡

Most European countries are looking at least as fucked up as the UK these days

The more attention you pay to international news from their individual national press, the more you realise that it's merely a matter of to what degree each country is fucked up.

Well that didn't take too long:

'sources' are now saying that Natalie Elphicke did not so much experience a political conversion as storm out of the Tory party having twice been refused Ministerial posts.

And, more explicitly Tories seem to be happy to say that it was her conduct in trying to excuse her husband's conviction for sexual assault (for which she has belatedly apologised).

No surprise the Tories want to depict her as tainted... & perhaps no surprise Streeting is defending her!

@Roadwarrior29 Dark Matter: first ten minutes a bit meh, which I let pass because character establishing, then "woah!" Interludes of mild nonsense, but the "woah!" is worth it. V. disappointed with Jennifer Connolly, who's usually great.

I love scavenging the back alleys. I found this! Its a mini trash can, based on the sort of thing we actually put rubbish in when I was young. It had mould inside, so I'm assuming it may have been meant to be for kitchen scraps outside. One of the handles was broken so that was fixed. No idea what to use it for, but its cool.

@MostlyTato Idea - you could half fill it with soil, plant some wildflowers (for the bees), and put a pole with a t-bar (an old spade handle, maybe?) in the middle to hang bird feeders off. You could even attach the lid to the top to make it a bird bath ...

The woodland bank is looking lush at this time of year. I'm kind of proud of this little wasteland area that has become such a variety of green and flowers.

@MostlyTato Wow, that's fantastic! Got back from my wandering to find all sorts of things blooming in the garden so, now I've finally got round to setting up my camera (only 3 years late!), I'll post some pictures either tomorrow or Monday.

Daily today is NOT a pic of last night’s aurora (seen it all amazing with the naked eye when a kid in Sutherland anyway, no, not sulking because I missed it, why would you think that). It’s a pic of the estuary, with bonus Not My Labrador refusing to come out. Again.
