So, I hear Switzerland won, but Ukraine and Israel won the public vote in thus supporting my view that most people harbour at least one unforgivably awful and ignorant opinion that, were I to know it, would make me go right off them ๐Ÿ˜ก

Most European countries are looking at least as fucked up as the UK these days

OMG! Did someone mention ? Photos taken just this evening amid the largest geomagnetic storm for two decades. Long exposure, but all visible to the naked eye also, including the colours

PS. Today, I fiddled with the exposure and contrast of the pics I posted last night and updated these images as post-edits. The reason was that, today, in the daylight, I realised that I had originally posted them from my dimly lit living room, straight after spending 2 hours out in the darkness. My eyes were very accommodated to the dark and saw the images as much brighter than they were

Unlike a terrible policy held while in Opposition, which can be rationalised away with 'Well they can't change anything now and they need to get elected', or 'They'll be better than they seem once they're in power', there's something about letting such a right-wing, bigoted monster into that crystallises the fact that Labour is truly lost under Starmer

@fkamiah17 Frankly, I hope so. Labour as it is now would deserve it. The very last thing we need is nationalist Toryism under a fresh label, which is what Starmer's Labour promises. Democracy in the UK is looking more like a rotting corpse every day

I'd been doing so well with my sleep patterns of late. Till last night. Felt tired all day, but had stuck to routine of long walk, etc. Had to take a short nap at 9 pm. Woke at 3 am ๐Ÿ˜ณ. Stupidly drank two cups of strong tea. Merciless restless legs kicked off. Gave up on further sleep attempts at 5 am

Hopefully, it's just a blip. Today's gonna be a day of laziness and coffee โ˜•๏ธ
