Music (play guitar a little), outdoor life (camping, snowmobiling, hiking), volunteering, messing around in the shop with wood, metal, tools, machines ’n’ such, figuring stuff out. Every day I learn more how little I really I know.

How much alone time vs socializing do you need?

For me there are a few people who are usually equalizing, and I can just be around them, so I won't count that. But generally, I find about 3 times a week, I'm game for socializing. A day in between to rest is usually nice, but the larger the gathering or if we go somewhere particularly noisy or I'm meeting new people that involves more effort, and my social battery empties sooner. I'm very curious where everyone else falls on this!

@RickiTarr I have described myself many times as an outgoing introvert. It seems contradictory but makes sense in my little inner world. For example if I’m out shopping (a necessity, not a pleasure) I will make small talk with the cashier, other staff and even other customers when the situation works.

Ribs rubbed with shexy seasonings and left overnight,then cooked low and slowwww,then slathered in my special sauce 🔥 Falling off the bone. And roasted air fryer Brussels and Japanese sweet potatoes. Fill up that basket and shake it baby! Don’t be shy. That is all. 💁‍♀️

@krst @Shanitoba I don’t usually bother with wrapping. Just peel the membrane off the back of the ribs, cut into two or three bone sections and then in the slow cooker for 4-5 hours. Then I either oven or BBQ finish with sauce. Oh yeah, and back ribs only. Side ribs tend to not be as ‘fall off the bone’ and less meaty. My 2¢, keep the change!

@Diggler67 @krst I share the mixed thoughts on this. Arniel did a good job stepping in when Bones was away and I don’t have any specific concerns about his coaching bona fides.

The bigger question is the as a team and how to break out of their current patterns. The skills and talent are there and for the most parts so are the desires. If a new coach can get them past their current plateau then we’ll be good. But to date this team seems to be a coach killer…

Interesting point. We’ve lamented for years about the #NHLJets and their inability to live up to the apparent potential of the players. Blame has been attributed in many directions: at some players, the coach(es), the GM but rarely at the owners/top management. Now it makes me wonder, have some of the team issues resulted from some sort of mis-management or interference from TNSE? 1/2

@wpgguy My GAF level is way low right now. I’m not sure exactly which stage I’m at right now but am pretty sure it’s beyond the anger.

Yeah it’ll be nice to see a crazy crowd and maybe even a better effort from the but right now the only positive thought I’ve got is at least they can say goodbye at home to their fans.

@ColleenB I was thinking about this a little while ago. I’m kinda 50/50 on the idea. Helley seemed to be more at peace with life in and has a good contract but not seeing team progress may dampen all that.

@emarktaylor @hnom @hockey The replays I saw showed that it ‘might’ have been offside but even the Avs broadcast guys said they couldn’t see for sure. Call on the ice was a goal and without a definitive view showing otherwise the call stands. Coulda gone either way. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Lack of 4K? Are they kidding us?!?

I didn’t see a replay/angle that clearly showed the puck and the skate at the same time. That’s the primary criteria for not overturning the call of a goal (in my most humble opinion)

I can think of no more comforting a voice than Bob Cole doing the play by play of a hockey game. He was one of the grand old gentleman of CBC broadcasting. His tones echoed through my household during winters growing up and his voice always invokes memories of a warm house on a wintery Saturday night. Right now the greats are playing a game and Bob is doing the call. Rest in peace Mr. Cole. :cbc: :HNOM:
