I've seen that people are complaining about certain instances wanting to block out Facebook/Meta and that we should consider the "normal users" and embrace the possibility of mainstream adoption.

We have considered this and decided that certain demographics have decades of experience of being abused and harassed by Mainstream, Normal Users and having a safe haven away from that is more important than allowing Johnnie Randomnumbers to have the ability to debate their existence at them.

Trust each other until you have a genuine reason not to.

And the best advice is this, paraphrased from one of the Hitchhiker's Guide books: "You care, I don't, you win."

This avoids so many unnecessary arguments. Do you care about what colour to paint the hallway or are you just trying to win an argument? Let shit go unless it really matters to you.
