This is a not-great picture of an amazing effect that happens on the in certain conditions, where the different directions (?) and/or speed of currents in the water creates two-toned colors with that sharp line dividing them.

Fascinating to me!

I almost couldn’t tell if these were little flowers, or some giant mutant viruses…😮

Sometimes Nature makes its own bas-relief sculptures, just lying around.

Here’s ’The Tree’ by No-one…

Some of you may remember the wiggly tree that I posted for some weeks back.

It’s just barely starting to put out some leaves, but it’s still unclear what type of tree it is.

The leaves have patterns that also look good in B&W, so here you are.

Looks like a Corkscrew Hazel (Coryllus avellana 'Contorta'). The shape does look really similar to that willow

@natureworks That's my guess, too, because the leaves in the foreground at the right are definitively no willow leaves but probably hazel. @hopeward

Since the Sun didn’t take out the Internet, I’m able to wish you all a tolerable Monday.

That one day when the clouds looked like they were trying to extend the mural on this building.

This is a strange little rock that I found in that looks like some weird altar or ancient tool.

It will definitely fit the label, as well as I think.

Maybe ? (Nah…)

Yeaaah, I’m thinking this is permanently out of service, not ‘temporarily’!

When your head starts to spin (and the camera, too) at a Chihuly glass art exhibit!

This was seen in a small park area next to the SF Bay, right after a big renovation. This refuse container was taller than me and wide and FILLED to the top with oyster shells that had been cleared out of the bay during reconstruction of the area.

So many shells!
