What happens if you already have YouTube Premium but never the less go on YouTube with an adblocker because you’re trying to prevent companies tracking you? Also 3 strikes?

Captain Obvious to the rescue? What do they think Karl Marx was writing about?

It’s about time, it was so unnecessarily confusing even for the Koreans themselves.

You know what fucks me up? The fact that several different platforms can seemingly talk to each other seamlessly, even the ones that seemingly were not even meant to talk to each other. Stuff on is visible here on . My account from a instance can see my other account on . There's several different "not-Twitter" services each with their own interfaces and instances, and they all chat with each other. I can feel my brain expanding as I learn all of this.

You can subscribe to PeerTube chanels in lemmy which then will show up like a community, which is pretty cool.

Have humans adopted to high / low humidity?

Me and the fiance we always fight about the A/C or dehumidifier. For me coming from central Europe, as soon as the humidity goes over 65% I’m sweaty and hot and can’t get dry, I hate it. She as a Korean seems never to sweat at all and even when the humidity is at 80% she seems to have no problems and thinks running the A/C...

I have the opposite question, what trait of a pirate makes you think they would leave reddit?

Noch nicht mitbekommen? www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhD0s0QmdXI “Why metalheads are happier people”. Und hinzukommt dass Metal so weit ich weis die einzige Musikrichtung ist wo der Opa und der Enkel auf die gleichen Konzerte gehen :D

Amazing! Thanks for the link, I had to fiddle around with the nginx_internal.conf because the first guy put a lot of different ports in and later another guy who created a patch put the map inte location instead of http but once I understood how map works I could fix it and now I can subscribe to /kbin instances, wohoo! Thanks again for you help!

At university the by far coolest and most fun course was compiler construction. We had to write something which would compile a small subset of Java (Javalette) into the Java Virtual Machine instruction set.

I wrote my compiler in Haskell because it seemed that it’d be much less hassle compared to do it in a object oriented or procedual language.

It ain’t pretty but it’s honest work: github.com/jeena/CC/blob/master/Compiler.hs

I’m subscribed to !programmer_humor and !programmerhumor and you often cross post to both of them at the same time. Could I ask you to use the build in cross-posting functionality in lemmy so it only shows up once in my list? Otherwise I’ll need to unsubscribe from one.

Respected Gollum,

I humbly seek to clarify my previous discourse with utmost humility. It was never my intention to scold or reprimand your esteemed self. Rather, my aim was to enlighten and educate about a newly introduced functionality.

I apologize if my words conveyed any unintended offense. My genuine desire was to share the merits of the built-in cross-posting feature within our community. This functionality can streamline content distribution and minimize redundancy, enhancing the experience for all users.

I kindly request your understanding and forgiveness. My intent was to foster knowledge and progress, not to criticize. Please perceive my intentions with a charitable eye, as I hold no animosity and solely aspire to promote camaraderie and enlightenment.

With deep respect and contrition,

Jeena

It’s not some force keeping them the same, it’s no force changes the speed of the moon. From my limited understanding the moon was created when a smaller planet crashed into the earth:

https://jemmy.jeena.net/pictrs/image/7b9f18c1-f57e-4b10-8e23-c5fbab98d38d.jpeg

They both got the same momentum, therefor they started rotating at the same speed, once per day.

There is nothing out there which would be able to change the speed of the rotation of the moon. There is also nothing which would change the speed of the rotation of the earth. Therefor they keep spinning at the same speed.

“Vielen Dank im Voraus” oh man, das ist so dämlich, da hab ich gleich keinen Bock mehr weil man nicht fragt sondern annimmt dass ich das machen werde.

Sort by active broken on this instance?

Is it just me, or is sort by active worse on sh.itjust.works than on other instances? On sh.itjust.works, it gives posts (both local and federated) that are weeks old. If I do the same on lemmy.world, it gives much more relevant posts that are a few hours to around a day old. Maybe there are some server settings that could be...

I have the same on my own instance too, my guess it’s a bug in lemmy.
