Got the worst news. They’re making us go back to the office. My manager and team I work with are States away from me so I’m going to go to an office with random people just to be at the office. So lame.

I also have to consider a new car and it will be like getting a decrease in income as I’ll have to pay for gas to and from work. Plus the added time driving.

@Melezioh I've heard people in your situation have had luck arguing that, because there is no functional difference in being at the office due to telepresence being required either way to work with your team, the travel time is considered mandatory work travel and must be compensated.

The important part is that being in the office doesn't change your actual work experience since you are fundamentally still operating remotely.

This really sucks. I'm sorry and I hope a bit of squeaky-wheel gets them to back off :/

@Melezioh yeah it definitely sounds like completely absurd "enforcement for the sake enforcement" bs. Ideally someone there has the authority to apply situation-based logical accommodations. Otherwise that says a lot about other ways they're probably wasting money and time.

If not, it'll be a great thing to bring up in your next performance review as a reason for a raise :D

It’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed the dynamic between two fictional characters quite as much as it’s currently the case with ☺️
They both have their quirks and experiences and they are still getting used to each other. How they deal with finding out something they didn’t expect or that contradicts their assumptions about each other is just very mature.
I love watching them.

@yellowjitsch Spice & Wolf is easily my favorite Light Novel series. This time around the anime adaptation is quite wonderful, having so far done a very good job of choosing which things to focus on and which to leave behind.
