It’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed the dynamic between two fictional characters quite as much as it’s currently the case with #SpiceAndWolf ☺️
They both have their quirks and experiences and they are still getting used to each other. How they deal with finding out something they didn’t expect or that contradicts their assumptions about each other is just very mature.
I love watching them.
Despite already having read every book in the series, I'm thoroughly enjoying the new Spice and Wolf anime.
The pacing is great for the content being translated to the screen, and they are intelligently skipping over bits that are less intriguing or important to the story in favor of focusing on the more exciting mercantile subterfuge and relationship between Lawrence and Holo. I'm also a big fan of how much more expressive they've made Holo's animation this time around.
Episode 3 is in the bag and I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of the season plays out
You know what? That one is on me. Somebody arguing that Holo from #SpiceAndWolf isn't a #furry obviously has terrible opinions. It's my fault for engaging instead of blocking and moving on.
Happy Saturday everyone. I couldn't come on yesterday because I'm preparing holiday dinner but I hope everyone enjoyed yourselves. Can't wait until the new anime season starts looks like it's going to be fun

I take it that the off-putting aspect is primarily that the relationship in question is very unequal and resembles an "ordinary" May-December?
I can think of stories about partners that are fairly equal in terms of maturity but where one will outlive the other by centuries. To be specific, I am thinking mostly of Spice & Wolf, since I read the first book in the series recently. I watched the anime some years ago.
