Famous YouTuber Mike Figueredo with 402,000 YouTube subscribers gets demonitized by YouTube over night — no reason given.

One day he has a thriving content business, the next day he has nothing!

Could we all agree, that content creators should have rights, and laws should prevent monopolies from treating creators this way?

Military analyst @anderspuck from the Royal Danish Defence College has an interesting new video, where he presents the arguments why the drone attack on Moscow is very much in Ukraine’s interest:

https://youtu.be/SeB4GSqtAUs

randahl,
@randahl@mastodon.social avatar

@anderspuck Anders, while I agree with your points on how this attack may create a myriad of problems for Putin, I cannot help thinking, Ukraine has zero interest in placing themselves in a situation where Moscow civilians have been killed by Ukrainian weapons, and the ICC opens an investigation.
This is why, I do not see this as a mission carried out by the Ukraine military itself, as this would tarnish Ukriane’s reputation and help western polititicians critical of the support for Ukraine.

randahl,
@randahl@mastodon.social avatar

@anderspuck even if Ukraine would like for this attack to occur, is it not more likely to be the work of Ukrainian sympathizers of sorts or perhaps Russian rebel groups?
(This would match Ukraine’s official statement, that Ukraine is “not DIRECTLY involved”)

Did Ukraine bomb Moscow? Here is my take:

@randahl@mastodon.social avatar

A large number of social media videos show Moscow has been attacked by around 5-10 drones.

These drones sound like the Iranian Shahed 136 drones — like a moped in the sky — but they look more like the russian made Orlan-10 surveillance drones… like small models of traditional, civilian, winged aircraft.

I have seen zero evidence of who is behind this. It could be the FSB (a false flag operation), Russian rebels, or even .

Way too early to conclude anything other than it has occured.

Russia has taken control of Bakhmut, but does that make them victorious?
@anderspuck has an excellent new analysis on the matter:

Do they teach math in Turkey? I am asking because the Turks just reelected the guy who ruined their economy.

Who are the voters who look at a 46 percent inflation rate and think, "Yes please, I'd like some more of that"?

I am curious, so please tell me:

In the summertime in Denmark, it is a tradition to bake wheat bread on a stick over an open fire. We sit outside in the evening, like I am doing tonight, and keep warm by the fire.

We roll the bread into a long sausage shape, hold a real sausage near the stick, and then wrap the dough around both the sausage and the stick.

In Danish, this type of bread is called "snobrød" (twist bread).

Is this a tradition in your country too, and what do you call this bread?

randahl,
@randahl@mastodon.social avatar

@Adrenochrome is it common across Germany?

Major shifts in the political landscape of Denmark. 7 months ago, the Social Democrats won the election with 27.5 percent of votes.
Now, in a recent poll only 19 percent would reelect them.

The government has been massively criticized for turning a national holiday into a work day to increase productivity, in a situation where the employment is already at record levels, and the economy is in excellent shape.

Denmark has the 9th highest GDP per capita in the world (US is 7th, Germany is 19th)

Summer is coming. The modern, western weapons have arrived in Ukraine, and the Ukrainians are about to unleash hell on the battlefield, creating a total disaster for Vladimir Putin.
But what does losing mean for the man who never loses?

@mc @ohiorob since you two both enjoyed the video… can I ask if you pressed like to the video?

The reason I am asking is because, I am wondering if I should start asking for likes during the video to help the video along. I have noticed @anderspuck does that in his videos.

I have not asked for likes in the manuscript, because as a viewer I often find it somewhat repetitive that every YouTuber constantly says “like and subscribe”.

On the other hand, the video has only 38 likes from 773 views.

randahl,
@randahl@mastodon.social avatar

@mc that is how I feel too, but I noticed Anders Puck has twice as many likes per view compared to my recent video. Of course, this could be because people genuinly like his videos better, but it could also be because Anders reminds people to hit the like button.

Perhaps Anders will tell us: Have you testet this, Anders — does asking for likes increase your like count?

For everyone who remember the GIF patent saga which let Unisys prevent software companies from supporting the GIF image format, there is more good news:

Another consumer-unfriendly patent is now dying — RED cameras have prevented camera companies from producing cameras with the highest quality video possible… but Nikon took them to court, and now we might all get much better video quality in our iPhones and mirrorless cameras, etc.

And there you have it: Trump's trial in the NY case regarding falsifying business record has been scheduled for March 25th.

This means, Trump will not be able to freely campaign for the presidency for weeks. Instead he will have to sit in a court room in New York.

And this is just 1 of the many criminal cases against him. Once we get to 2024 his callender will be full of trial activities.

Member of the German national assembly, Roderich Kiesewetter (CDU), suggests sending Taurus KEPD 350 long range missiles to Ukraine to provide weapons for the F-16's delivered by Denmark and others.

If he succeeds in making this happen. Ukraine will be able to hit targets 500 km behind the frontline, with a 481 kg. intelligent warhead.

These missiles can reach Moscow. Good luck spinning this one on Russian state tv.

Now that little green men have entered Belgorod and occupied parts of the region, can we please have a referendum, where 117 percent vote in favor of joining Ukraine?

Joking aside, they certainly have a busy day in the Kremlin today. I cannot wait to hear Russian state TV’s take on this.
