@daringfireball “So Microsoft has an integrated keyboard/trackpad peripheral that seems perfect for use with a headset, but they only make headsets that no one seems to care about.”
Is this implied to be in contrast to the Vision Pro? 🤔
This keyboard looks like it’s been kicked around. But it’s been taken care of well and is only two years old. Sure, I use it daily. But that level of wear and tear on the keys is a bit rubbish.
Are other comparable brands more durable? (And even if this was down to Apple skimping on durability for $$$, it’s not like I can replace this keyboard anyway like-for-like, because it has a tint that matches my iMac.)
As if US gun controls aren’t stupid enough, add on open carry and stand your ground laws, combined with political showboating and it’s honestly surprising that this doesn’t happen more often.
So, I've finally moved from Three UK to EE. The service from Three used to be amazing, but for whatever reason, in the past 1-2 years, it's been bad... At least in my area.
@craiggrannell Could never ditch Netflix in our house. The sheer breadth of content makes it the only streamer with something for everyone and just a huge catalogue overall.
Good! I’m not at all opposed to streaming services, but I think it’s very bad that so much video-based media only exists as a part of a monthly subscription where the platform sometimes has financial incentives to simply vanish art that some people love.
People were also fine with / liked their Diamond Rios and BlackBerrys. The only difference is that wasn’t blocked from creating something better.
It says a lot about the company has become that they’re not looking to give customers “the best” experience in all areas. Just the one that makes them the most $.
It’s “fine” if they don’t know what they’re missing 🤷.
I mean, this isn’t the biggest way Brexit fucked the UK. But I’d love to be using AltStore right now. Congrats to Riley and I hope these stores become worldwide sooner rather than later. (And also that the UK joins the EU. Although I imagine Apple will move faster than the UK’s political will, alas.)
@andyn But 8GB would hold 100s (probably 1000s) of books. I’ve never even thought about storage on my Kindles before. Honestly don’t know what you’d use 16GB or 32Gb for? 🤷
I have no need at all to upgrade so should stop looking!
Welcome to music streaming. You can use the one with the crap app from the biggest tech company in the world who pay artists basically nothing or the one where they pay artists even less that that.
