My #bookreview is brief/won't spoil, to spread good, great, & spectacular #horror#books far & wide.
💙📚 You may presume you'll know the story that unfolds in I THINK I'M ALONE NOW, but you'll be wrong as hell. I read this novella in a single sitting: Ali Seay has written a thoroughly enjoyable, vivid, violent, deliciously dark chunk o' horror set in the 80's that's, like, totally rad. (Grindhouse Press)
Happy Friday! I have a doctor's appointment so I haven't had a chance to find the really good memes, but take this one to hold you over until I return.
Day 1 #Bookstadon challenge: Choose 20 #books that greatly influenced you. One #book per day, for 20 days. No explanations, no reviews, just covers
(I've already been doing this over on Bluesky and am several days in, so I'm going to do my best to not get mixed up on the days I'm on 😆) #horror@horrorbooks@bookstadon
Sitting down to make art & getting overwhelmed with the possibilities. I almost wish I was REALLY good at one specific type of art versus decent at a bunch of them. I know I could seriously level up if I genuinely dedicated myself to ONE particular style & medium, but I'd get so freaking BORED.
I'm mainly into sewing and woodland crafts ( I make a lot of decor for our witchcraft events, too), but last year I purchased a pyrography kit and that's been my focus artistically this year.
Thought I'd share these images from THE SHINING: A VISUAL AND CULTURAL HAUNTING, put out by Rough Trade Books. It's a fantastic collection of analysis, ephemera, trivia, and photos.
