Perhaps the most pointless app on Vision Pro, but still quite fun to play with. This is a complete remake of the original PCalc About screen in VR. It's basically me experimenting with what's possible today with RealityKit, over-engineering things as usual, and then for some inexplicable reason actually shipping it. I hope you enjoy it!

MacPad M1 Air edition has been setup!! $300 for a MacBook Air M1 with a busted screen but pristine computer body - damn @viticci this is pretty wonderful - can’t wait to start exploring the ways I can integrate macOS with the iPad and Apple Vision Pro - this is my first Mac since my 2011 11” MacBook Air that still happily runs High Sierra - feels very sturdy maybe the thicker wedge end is a feature for using it with the old M1 XDR iPad Pro - supporting more weight

How did I only just now discover the amazing ability in OmniFocus for visionOS to scan documents with a nearby iOS device!!! It even showed my my 2017 10.5” iPad Pro - you just select whatever device you want to use and it launches the camera app from a locked device state into a special scanning mode and sends those scans directly over to OmniFocus for visionOS - pure magic how well this works - so cool!!! @OmniFocus @kcase

@nighthawk @OmniFocus @kcase I’m guessing it is using the same API or similar as continuity camera - was cool to see that API available to visionOS - haven’t seen other visionOS apps do that yet, but I may be missing some examples of other apps that take advantage of this

@agiletortoise Are there any special toggles needed to enable an iOS app to be installable via TestFlight on visionOS? Have a few apps that are enabled for visionOS, but only in the App Store version and not allowed to install via TestFlight.

We finally have the release date for the Boy and the Heron! June 25th digitally and July 9th on BluRay! Still very far off, but glad to have a date!! Can’t believe how long the lead time has been on this. Reminds me of the old times that truly incentivized you to go to the movie theaters.

Despite some real beef with Arc Search and spending a few weeks using Safari as my main browser, I can’t deny that Arc for the Mac is the perfect browser for me.

I don't know if this is just a U.S. thing, but over the past five years it's become almost impossible to purchase plain puffed wheat cereal in a grocery store. The last chain here finally stopped stocking it. There are essentially two suppliers offering it for extremely inflated prices on Amazon, but elsewhere it's a completely extinct product. I’m out of unsweetened cereals!

My SoloTop adapter finally arrived via USPS (got lost in New Jersey for half a week!) - I’ve got to say this is much more comfortable than my old top band I used (big thick black velcro band that covered the Speaker Pods) - thanks @viticci for discovering this awesome adapter!! SO HAPPY with this!!! It looks so much better too! Also I now have full use of my speakerpods again that was muffled by my old top headband. Highly recommended!!

I really wish Apple would provide bonus storage for new device purchases for x number of years to cover backup - perhaps make it not count against your storage - especially with Apple Vision Pro that I don’t believe can be backed up via iTunes/the Mac over local Wi-Fi - can anyone confirm that this is true and that iCloud is the only backup method?

Finally caught up on the end of S6 of and I have to say the season ended really strong. Loving Missy’s character development in particular. First Ep of S7 was great too. Looking forward to seeing how the series ends and how they’ll deal with Sheldon’s dad.
