You can see where around corners and even some straight runs it is peeling up. I’m running first layer at an agonizing 15 mm/s. Using hatchbox pla filament, just dried in dehydrator. 200° nozzle and 70° bed. The glass is freshly cleaned with soap and water, I just did several atomic pulls, I’ve trammed at different heights...
Are consumer level 3D printers able to print plastic objects of similar quality to ones produced using injection molding? Or is 3D printing useful mostly for the prototyping stage before a design is finalized and a steel mold is produced for injection molding?
Normally slopes on my prints look fine, but recently I’ve been getting bad extrusion on some prints but not all. Same materials, same print file. Could this be one of the motors starting to fail? Printed on an ender 3....
Ok, so I know nothing about 3d printing, but since we became empty nester, am looking for a new hobby. My wife us taking up pottery, but thats not for me, and 3d printing seems like a good bit of fun....
A week ago I was printing things for my friends when suddenly my nozzle just fucking crashed out of nowhere into my pei bed and now it is ruined, I removed the pei bed, and installed my glass one that I had for several years, in the process of removing my magnetic sheet, my 3 solid petg spring replacers just MELTED....
I have been printing with PETG on glass for a little while now, and have gone through almost an entire roll. Yesterday I had my first print stick so hard that it delaminated the glass :(. I stopped using hairspray as it made the prints not stick at all, and printing bare glass was just fine. But something about yesterdays print...
Hey there, first post – hope it's okay to put out a request for some advice. I just started 3D printing a few weeks ago (got an Ender 3 S1) and contrary to seemingly everyone else online, I've had no issues whatsoever with bed adhesion, rather the opposite....
Hi, I’m new to printing. I got myself a Kobra 2 and it was printing fine when I got it. But recently it started to knock the prints off at random times. I have done several recalibrations, adjusted the Z offset up and down. What I have noticed is that all of these models seem to have a small overflow of material which I’m...
Hi all! I need a high temperature (~200C) motion system for ahem reasons. I know that at those temperatures steppers tend to cook, so keeping them inside the heated chamber is out of the question. I have already considered belts, screws (lead and ball) and stainless cable. Belts will not work because they will melt. Screws do...
Hey all, so this is the biggest thing I've tried to print. I'm using PETG. I'm getting a lot of repetitive bands of underextrusion that seem to stack up and get worse as the print progresses....
Hello! I am a former anycubic mega s victim, got it gifted by a friend(because he didn’t use it) and got sucked into the rabbithole of 3d printing. Printed a few parts after calibrating and cleaning it up, but then got punched in the face with onslaught of problems that dont make sense. Tried to fix 'em all, but in result just...
I’ve wanted one of these for a while, decided to bite the bullet a couple days ago! Seeing as I was somewhat familiar with CAD software (from engineering classes several years ago) it seemed fairly straightforward....
I forgot to put back the metal plate on my Anycubic Kobra 2 and pressed print. Managed to stop it relatively quickly but still damaged the heating surface a bit and it chipped away some of the material as you can see. How fucked am I?
I’ve been running my Creality CR6 SE (kickstarter edition) for a few years now, and now considering an upgrade to add to the fleet. But I’m way out of the loop on what would be a good robust and reliable option these days. Would love some recommendations on what to look for in a new printer, and maybe which printers the...
