In most cases, I 100% believe it is better to improve & maintain an existing app rather than start from scratch (like many are doing these days), and this is exactly why I'm bringing attention to this mature and useful application.
gitg has existed since 2008 (git itself was created in 2005!)… It predates almost every other git client and is a nice GTK GUI that fits well within GNOME. I see no reason to reinvent the wheel here.
