I love how America has to pretend that it needs to convince its overseas colony, #Israel, to accept a ceasefire in #Gaza / #Palestine, when in reality it can just stop sending weapons and money to the Israelis, without which the war would end in less than 48 hours. My cynical prediction is that Israel's arms will be twisted and a 2-state solution will be imposed on the Israelis once they've murdered enough Palestinians in retribution for October the 7th.
Oh sure, Israel is a colony and Joe Biden commands the IDF.
Nations have contractual obligations to each other. I'm sure you'll want to register your grievances about trade between Russia and its colonies, North Korea and Iran as well.
