worfamerryman, I don’t have the link at the moment, but there is a YouTube channel that is working on getting rat brain cells to play doom.
I guess that this kind of stuff is not far off science fiction. It is here now.
My sister-in-law, who is a doctor, is concerned about the morality of doing this kind of stuff with brain cells.
I kind of get it, who’s to say that there is not a consciousness even if limited.
readbeanicecream, @worfamerryman She may have a point. We know so little about the brain, it may be a little premature to start augmenting it with AI ... which is something else that we know very little about.
worfamerryman, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the video. It’s kind of creepy, I wonder if it will be banned at some point.
I have no problem growing cells to make new organs, but brain tissue seems like it could be cruel if there was a consciousness.
